PREGAME: Rd 06 vs Brisbane
Surprised by those calling for a Jefferson inclusion. The bloke seems to dominate at VFL, but does very little at AFL level. He has not managed to build his body much at all. The Brisbane backs would shred him. Kentfield, on the other hand, is a big unit and had impressed in the preseason. I’d be much more inclined to bring him in. Plus, he is a swing man if needed. Heath should also be given a shot. He can clunk marks too, so him going deep forward could stretch the opposition. We are a quality midfielder short and Windsor and Lindsay ain’t it. Rivers was supposed to step up, but there is something fishy going on there

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
Footy is really fun again! These blokes are rocking up and doing their thing. The belief is growing by the minute, in every game. It’s brilliant to see. The even contribution we are getting is what is really impressive. Umpire 22, Williamson, is a POS. Has been umpiring that way against us for years. Couldn’t even hide his blatant bias today. Must be on the nepo baby payroll Uppppaaa the Deeeees!

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
Happy to get around him, again, but he has had plenty of chances. Not sure what you mean he never got a chance. Sadly, like many before him, he is very good at VFL level, but struggles to produce at the top level. He is too small as a mid and seems limited in terms of foot skills under pressure. Goes well at Casey in front of 300 ppl, but his poor disposal shows up on the big stage. If he can overcome that, he has attributes

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
Right…I had solid mail that Fritta was out for 6 weeks, broken foot bone. Now he isn’t named as an out, I’m totally baffled. Is it a stiff up by the comma team. Is my mail bad? Seems like a really odd situation

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
Pays to read posts. Broken bone in his foot. Unsure if it’s the same foot he had troubles with last season. Terrible news either way

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Gold Coast
sure..happy to persist ...but his output is seriously 'of concern'. He drops many easy marks..its not isolated...his disposal is appalling. His key attribute is his the pace and side 'step. He'd want to lift in coming weeks.

NON-MFC: Round 03
they reported 20k. lowest crowd in Geelong since the redevelopment. Side note: Anyone hear ANB after the loss interviewed by the broadcaster? He said that there will be a lot of "learnings" for the young Crows. Straight out of the Goodwin playbook

They'd want to be pretty confident. Been hearing the same stuff for years.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Does anyone know whether we will be coming out onto the ground via the same race this week? I saw soemthing, somehwere, saying it is permanent...why? Can someone enlighten me. I thought we always used the race in the Members. We used to have the one in the red seats

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
I don’t think the sky is falling. We knew we’d have ups and downs this year. Last week was marvellous. This week was a genuine ‘learning’ (sorry). The positive for me was the ability to fight back, to some degree, and not be completely embarrassed. Melbourne sides of the past wouldn’t have done that. I have a few concerns though. Mainly with the plateauing of some young talent. Windsor, Lindsay and Langford were all poor last week and again last night. Then there is the elephant in the room. Pickett x2. One has personal issues that may be affecting his output. His head doesn’t seem in the game for the full four quarters. We are paying a lot for a bloke who seemingly has a few cameos and the occasional match winning game. Then there is his cousin, who we spent a very high pick on, who bolted up the draft after playing a handful of SANFL games. It’s looking like he may be capable of the freakish, but his general skill level is poor. That’s a high price to pay for Harlem globetrotter cameo stuff. And, I think the question is fair - did Kozzy wield influence over the list management team as part of his contract. If so, that’s poor. I hope both of them shine in the rest of the season, but right now, neither look as if they are turning our fortunes around. Kozzy needs to win the ball in the middle more often and use it. Caught between reaching in and trying to extract it in razzle dazzle fashion and waiting on the outside for someone else to extract and give it to him in space

And it’s very concerning for the future. People will call it alarmist, but none of these guys are A grade picks from the draft. How strategy has been quantity over quality. You cannot build around B grade talent. You’d hope they can come on. However, all look way off atm. All behind the Freo debutant,

Really concerning form from Langford and Lindsay. Looks like we drafted the cousin of Kozzy We are exposed in the midfield Selection committee not picking a 2nd ruck is a disgrace

That’s excellent.

Club Emblem
That looks elite. I hope we wear it multiple times this year. Is this for gather round? There is definitely a push from the club to use this logo more and it’s been well received by fans, especially younger fans. I think there is scope to use both logos. I am curious why the socials team have changed all logos on Facebook and Instagram though.

Flame head came in 95. Two bad years and then used through a period of relative success. The 80s Chinese demon conjures far darker memories.

Club Emblem
Does anyone know what is going on with the Club emblem/logo at the moment. It seems there is a push to return to the late 90S/y2k DEMON, which has been dubbed 'flamehead' in recent years. I love it, as I think it is better than the monogram, as it appeals more to the young fans. Not that I think we should do away with the monoegram, I'd like to see us use both. I noticed that the MFC social pages have all changed their profile pic. Whilst I love the 'flamehead' demon, it could do with a slight spruce up. The main issue was the size it used to come out as when used as a thumbnail. If we were to revert to using it, I'd hope the club could improve this. It also used to just appear on square. Could be possibly use it in the new 'shield' we have for the monogram? not sure of that would look good. In 2010 we looked to modernise the face...the demon came out looking constipated. Whatever the case, I think the kids love the 'flamehead' and we should continue to use it as a primary or secondary logo. The hats that new era released all sold out. The jumpers sell out every time we release them. With the help of AI, I knocked this up. I dont know that it's better...but some of the ideas could be foundation:

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Didn't take long for the Master of Deflection to show up...listening to SEN this morning and the Saints are now claiming that a virus swept through the whole team last week. Ross the Boss is a master of this [censored]. What a bunch of bulltish.

absolutely! and the glazing he copped last week was embarrassing. He wasn't even BOG last week. He has been bathed by multiple opponents this week
