Plenty of positives but I am touch worried about Chandler who seems to be missing something that we saw early last season. Schache did a job I guess but looked far from convincing in the first half particularly.

One passage of play where we linked up by hand through the corridor featuring Bowey, ANB and maybe Laurie that has been the highlight for me. Fast, precise hands. Great to watch. Bowey improving is something we may not have factored in. Blues not flooding back is the reason we have so many marks in fwd 50. But even so, JvR, Fritta, etc taking marks is great. Salem is so good in the clinches. Hope he can make a go of it in the midfield. McVee is playing a different role which is interesting.

You'd reckon we have enough talent to finish top eight... May, Gawn, Tracc, Viney, Oliver, Salem, Lever, Kozzie, JvR, Petty, Angus, Fritta, etc. Then again it isn't always individual talent. Gameplans/systems play a massive part, especially early in the season. We'll be OK although the injuries and unavailability of a few up till now is a bit of a worry.

Having a split second less takes some getting used to no doubt. Technique wise he looks very sound in his kicking. It'll take time but he has time.
