GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
A forward leading to the ball carrier?? Mind boggling. Well done Melk….

PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
Interesting read. Just informs me anyone can throw out stats to prove a point, but the sum of all parts equal a good result. Unfortunately, the ultimate stat is wins and losses and ladder position The article also talks about the method different clubs use to orchestrate a win.

Harry McKay leaving Blues?
I have to agree here. Petty was an important cog in the backline in 2021. His height and ability to play on the tall talls, whilst Lever played his best as interceptor and May could use his strength against the gorillas went a long way to winning a flag. Plugger Mac and BBB were in great form up forward too. Kudos Petts for your input to our flag .

TRAINING: Sunday 22nd June 2025
Yep, suburban footy, albeit very good, is not professional football. If the answer was easy clubs would kick straight. Aaand not think, just do. I’m sure you could engineer the mechanics to straight kicking for goal.

The poster boy of goal kicking accuracy. Time to get down to training Bub. It’s all too easy 🤔🥴

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
I’d take Gawn for everything he gives and has always given. He has been placed in the GOAT argument for a reason. To focus on his one downfall is is poor form .

Time to go Goody?
Agree Richo need to go.

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Because the mids disposal and vision is poor, and our forwards are more interested in being with the Demon Army. They keeping heading to the Army when the ball comes their way. All led by Godwin’s coaching philosophy.

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
I’d be happy if the umpires called a ball up on every kick into the forward line. 🥴

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
To be fair Doug, past forward coaches coached the same way. It’s more like the head coach who is coaching the forwards to lead to the stands. Or, the forwards are frustrated by the mids disposal and they are heading for the exit gates…..

Why can’t our forwards lead to the ball carrier? #Georgiadis #caseinpoint

Harrison Petty
Since Petty has moved forward the forward line looks a lot more functional. Shots at goal have increased and the forward defensive pressure has increased. Petty may not be the reason for this but he is certainly very much part of the equation. I don’t think Petty is a mainstay in the backline or forward line. If he had a Curnow or a MacKay next him he would be very dangerous.

Hopefully someone who provides more sparg(k).

Viney provides impact, Spargo does not

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
I really like our defensive rolling maul. We seems to be holding up the play with the occasional out the back goal in recent weeks. The big test will be on Kings Birthday.

PREGAME: Rd 12 vs St. Kilda
Yep, he had very little to do and broke down. TMac for Lever (needs more time to recover #the whole 2025 season). Viney for Spargo. Lever is not old but his body is shot. He needs extended time out of the game.

No excuse for being quiet in a dominant performance. 😉

POSTGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
I agree. Even in a dominant performance he provided little. Sharp gave us a lot more in less time. Time to bring in a Casey player. Sestan is stronger, faster, smarter, has better disposal and if he only had 10 possessions, would give more. He can kick goals too.

My 3 word player analysis V Sydney

Jeffo has kicked many more bags of goals at VFL level. He is young and still may turn out ok.

NON-MFC: Round 11
The teams jumpers are doing me head in. Footescray look like Jeelong and vies versa 🫣🥴

PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
I’d like to see Kynan in favour of Spargs, but Viney will come in and it’s a matter of who goes out. Sharp is the new whipping boy but he needs some time to settle into the team. Chin was the whipping boy in past years and judged harsh by many supporters. Sharp has the ability to play a role and has kicked 6 goals whilst playing many games as the sub. I wouldn’t be disappointed if Viney and Brown came in for Spargo and Sharp tho.
