PREGAME: Rd 11 vs Sydney
Come on, it was so clearly a set play to a leading Milkshake to execute a kick akin to the old 3.0 degree of difficulty in olympic diving.

Max Gawn.... A giant of a gentleman and bloody good bloke
TDK can at least play forward so IMV has his hand on the ruck / fwd role, which is probably on the bench. Xerri or Gawn canโt play forward so itโs gonna be one of them for #1 ruck position.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
It was certainly a ? on his draft profile. i remember it on draft night. He does have speed though and great athleticism and a will to compete. Also his kicking comes good when he is going for goal as he has kicked some absolute rippers. Perhaps a confidence thing. You give him a mulligan as he's a 2nd year player and they are still prone to inconsistency which is exacerbated through lack of pre-season.

Max Gawn.... A giant of a gentleman and bloody good bloke
Right now Max and Xerri are fighting it out for the 2025 AA. Depending on the stat source you can mount an argument for either one. A good chance the AA selectors will go with 1 ruck this year. Although if both players keep this up you have to find space in your side to fit them both in. Both are in top 10 players (supercoach, afl player ratings) Id say the only thing Max has going for him is that MFC have won more games and he has beaten a good share of rucks. The main thing going against him is that Xerri absolutely toweled him up earlier this year and got 10 coaches votes for his performance too.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
This stuff does my head in and just reinforces the narrative around the media and MFC. Im sure there is some truth to what he says, but i find it rather amusing that the media fail to represent this point around Kozzy to Freo and especially the Oliver to Geelong. I mean if there was ever a case to mount around the clubs trying to shape the narrative they both are contenders as they have dominated the trade headlines over the past 12 months.

This is weirdly entertaining

Hopefully gets looked at. I think it was Rayner with the sloppy spoil attempt.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Its a bit like Jake Lever when he first got to Melbourne. If you dont put a match-up on Lever, he will run riot. He cannot defend 1-1 very well but is intercept master. Andrews a much better 1-1 defender but his strength is his intercept and rebound game. you take that away from him and well, you get what you get today.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
He has been great, but lets not get carried away. He would just be in the top 10 half backs of the league at the moment. If he could get more forward half possessions, goals, inside 50s and score involvements then, he'd be in consideration for sure.

We're Not Dead Yet - The 2025 Season
we are 4 points and percentage from top 8. Still a lot to play out and our draw will get a bit harder. Swans are plum for the picking next week with McInerny and Amarty almost guaranteed to get at least a week suspension and Aaron Francis with concussion. They are not super critical to their team but it does give us a real height advantage up forward.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
100% i had him delisted in the near future at the start of the season, but he has turned it around epically. I'd love to see him get on a few chains and HB receives and kicking it from the front half more as well. Once/if those score involvements start going up, then he'll start getting noticed a lot more as well.

VOTES: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
6 Melksham - 4 goals and plenty of goal assists. Great game. 5 Bowey - prooving me wrong. Great ball user had a few great contest 50/50 wins too. Put together a solid season so far 4 Pickett - an almost game, but did enough. 3 Oliver - great to see him get impact based off of a defensive role. A solid game to continue to build from. 2 Gawn - probably deserves more but it was a standard game. His opponent (gardiner) did score 4 goals. So there's that. 1 Langdon - good linkup play and kicking the sealer. Also special mentions to Fritta. Loved his attack on the ball. That is the standard he needs to apply for 4 quarters.

Windsors pre season or lack thereof is behind his inconsistency but agree HB is not for him. Iโm not really sure where he is best suited. From memory he always had question marks on his kicking skills.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
Apparently Freo are unhappy that Melbourne FC are driving the narrative surrounding Dogga. You canโt make this stuff up.

Hypotheticals on Tasmania entry concessions
Wa or SA deserve it more. Norwood maybe. Healthy supporter base.

You know the rule will be tweaked temporarily to screw us over.

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
I think the most important thing is that Kozzie is reasonably happy at Melbourne and a close connection with the club. We dont need him to sign an extension this year. Still has 2+ years to run.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
As much as getting Dogga back would be great for us. Kozzy is an aboslute gamechanger. Keeping him has to be our priority. If we could get Dogga another way bonus, but there's not much id be willing to give up from our team. We have to start getting in the ear of 23-24 yo KPP for the 26 and 27 trade periods as that's the earliest id expect to contend again.

NON-MFC: Round 10
Looks like he has got himself right this year which is good to see. A change of club and environment was exactly what he needed. Good for him.
