NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
It’s called being ruthless. I’d love to have that hard edge.

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
One more goal from free away from turning this off. Umps 100% ruining this game.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
And therein lies the problem. This trade does not reflect the worth of the player. The players hold way too much power as it stands and are holding clubs to ransom. Doggies put a good 4-5 years of development into Smith and just has he comes home to roost, he demands a change. He is entitled to do so, no issue on that front, but the clubs have to pay fair value. Geelong make a living out of this type of trade and they do it very very well. Normally you'd say ok, well done, but when a club makes finals 75% of the time in the last 2 decades and are in a PF every couple of years, you have to ask yourself is it an equal playing field. I was thinking the other week how fans in European football league competitions must feel when the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc continue to win the league competitions year after year after year. Why would you bother supporting a mid-tier club when your chances of winning are next to zero. The AFL is fast becoming a competition that is going to resemble this if it is not careful. But we have a competition where clubs finishing in the top 4, get picks in the top 5 in the draft, or are able to get first dibbs on out-of-contract players. In my view, its a simple fix, clubs in the top 4 (or something equivalent) should be taxed for NGA, F/S and out-of-contract players. Whether it is some type of salary cap tax, trade tax - i dont know- but we cannot allow these clubs to get a leg up on the other building / struggling teams.

Im with you on this. Athletically, he is the prime example of the modern football player.

Just have to admire the grit and determination of the Cats. I hate them as much as the Pies but I think they are favourites to win the flag after this performance. Time to launch some audits on farm ownership on the bellarine. No way can a team keep this much talent on their list with no one earning over a million a year.

Now the umps are not paying obvious frees against the Cars.

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
Unfortunately Cats too good. A damp deck hasn’t worked for the Lions. The Lions semte a far more skilful side, but Cats pressure is too much. What I’d give for our side to bring this type of heat once again

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
That is terrible umpiring. But I love it.

Lachie Neale is killing the Lions.

Selwyn Griffiths
Didn’t he say last year that we looked to be carrying a bit of extra weight? We have not been fit enough for a while. Hopefully that changes next year

2025 MRO & Tribunal
i thought smothering wasnt an excuse as a football act anymore after the Brayshaw incident? I could cope the DeGoey let off - i really can, but what i cannot tolerate is how MFC is continually taken to the cleaners at AFL house. May getting 3 is an absolute categorical joke.

Actions speak louder than words.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
There is literally a 24/7 defence of DeGoey on SEN. At this rate they won’t even need to goto the MRO for a decision. It’s been precast.

When Collingwood supporters visit my house (friends of wife), I put plastic sheets on the couches.

Sickening to hear how the Fox pundits are trying to get DeGoey off. Ralphy was the only one who said it should be a week but Cleary got a call from the producers and changed tac to then say “ Christens should find a way to get him off” cannot make this up.

This is what it is for me. Strangely I have a lot of empathy for Clarry but not Trac even though Clarry to some extent was responsible for a lot that happened to him whilst Trac was not. It was the way that Trac bought the entire club to its knees in the aftermath of his injury that lost it for me. it was and continues to be unforgivable in my eyes - that is why i want him gone. I would much rather see Clarry rediscover his footy than Trac. Hard to explain but that is just the way i feel rightly or wrongly.

Selwyn Griffiths
wow. that is some veiled comments that is. No secret he clashed heads with Selwyn when he did his hammy. That event can be seen as the trigger event that sent him tumbling down.

Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
Where has this rumour reignited itself? i thought it was clear LJ was staying and that all the rumours were bulltish.

Jimmy Bartel
Doesn’t this mean Bucks would report to Bartel if all things came to fruition? Would Bucks be deterred or encouraged by that appointment?

NON-MFC: Finals Week 01
How’s the media on projecting the ‘brilliant move’ narrative for bringing in Mason Cox for McStay! ‘He’s a proven finals performer’ etc etc. thankfully our own Gazza Lyon had none of it on 360. I’d be staggered if Cix isn’t subbed out at half time for his 3 disposals at 33%
