I watched the match but I can’t remember if the commentators mentioned the booing of Isaac. I mean, it was crystal clear, especially when you consider Adelaide supporters loves them a boo-fest. So you know the booing of Isaac was bad when it could be so easily discerned amongst the booing of, well, everything.

Jaded has explained above. We were just filthy on all the praise they got for making the trip. Of course fans make the trip for a final, especially when their club facilitates the means for getting there. I bet most of those same folks don’t get to H&A interstate games or interstate W games. We pride ourselves on being recognised by the AFL as the team whose cheer squad travels interstate the most frequently and in bigger numbers. And that’s us paying our own way. You never hear commentators remark on that. No, but they’ll kiss the Magpie Army’s filthy arze when they go all the way to faraway Adelaide…I’m outta control now… somebody slap me! 😅

What irks me is that their club subsidised buses to take them to Adelaide. Booooo! And everyone commented on how many of them made the trip. Double Boooooooo!

Seems they are. Maybe they have another reason for it but if it’s because their player attracted a four-week suspension for breaching a rule, they’re booing the wrong person. The blame is fairly and squarely on Rankine.

Unbelievable… where in that comment does Clarrie bag Selwyn? Someone please point it out coz I’m not seeing it. “Reading between the lines,” I imagine ppl saying. Yeah nah, with Clarrie you don’t ever need to read between the lines. He was asked about who might win tonight. He answered the question which included glowing praise for Burgo and deservedly so. Why do people assume that by praising Burgo Clarrie’s sch!ttt-canning Selwyn? Ffs get off his case.

Makes zero difference IMHO. I also don’t like the “Do it for (insert name of retiring player for example)” thing. I remember when our beloved Jimmy passed away, in the lead up to the following match there was so much pressure on our players to “Win for Jimmy.”

I for one am NOT bagging Max. I’m NOT saying everything is his fault. Nothing of the sort. What I AM saying is *Max gets what Max wants and what Max doesn’t want ain’t happening. On this occasion I’m referring ONLY to our ruck situation. Go ahead and shoot the messenger if you must. If you don’t like what you hear by all means question it, but please don’t dismiss it as garbage. *This is a direct quote from an assistant coach, and was also said in different words (same sentiment) by members of the training staff. In fact, I’ve heard similar said by at least half a dozen people. FWIW I don’t like hearing it either but that doesn’t change the situation. Another thing: (Rightly or wrongly) I’ve long been accused of blindly defending our players and I own that, I admit I do this. The one time I said a negative thing about a player (pre-injury Tracc) I was howled down, so why on earth would I invite a repeat of that? And here’s where I bow out of this conversation.

Herein lies the problem. How great Max is goes without saying. But no one is without flaws. Those flaws don’t detract from the greatness, but they do exist.

This is why I try to avoid this subject. At times I can’t help but chime in, especially when I read things that just aren’t true. I don’t take “whacks” at Max. And my stance isn’t “recent” as you say. I see and hear things about our club/players that are for the most part positive. But there are things I see and hear that I know most fans not only won’t like, but will refuse to believe. Please don’t put me in the Max is selfish camp. I’ve never said that, nor do I believe it.
