  1. No need to feel sorry for us, Bingers. We put the time and effort in regardless of how the team’s performing. We’re as gutted as every other fan but that never affects our enthusiasm. Delusional? Maybe. But without fans like us there wouldn’t be a cheer squad and while that might mean squat to other fans, it means everything to our players and they’re who matter most to us.
  2. So every week we get a numbered lanyard which allows us to go out on the ground. Some people have their fave player’s number every week. I always say “lucky dip me!” This week I got this one…
  3. On the train and a guy asks me how to get to the ‘G, it’s his first week as a security guard at the ‘G and his train line is down (Mernda) so he was lost. Anyways that’s beside the point… he told me his boss told him and the other guards to expect a crowd of 40-45,000! I said “That’s all?! Where are the rest of ‘em? Bloody Carlton fans, fairweather to the core!!” Turns out bro is a Carlton supporter 😂
  4. Like this?
  5. We’ll still take the banner out and lay it out in readiness for raising and then if the wind has died down sufficiently we can do it right before the boys run out. We have to be mindful of sudden gusts. One of our guys was hit on the head by a pole at Casey on a relatively calm day when a huge gust came out of nowhere. And that was at a W match where the banner and poles are smaller.
  6. Well you got the hair colour right, and I have on occasion been told I can be a real b!ttchh. 🤣
  7. Honestly, I’ve always known if it’s too windy there’s no banner and it hasn’t really mattered too much. But this one really matters. Clarrie needs regular reminding of how much he’s loved and valued, he really does. Some people are just like that. I wish I hadn’t mentioned the banner but as you said he’ll still appreciate the effort. Kinda wish we were at Marvel tonight.
  8. I’ve not heard of such a thing.
  9. [censored] this wind. If it’s deemed too windy for us to raise the banner (safety concerns) Clarrie’s 200th banner won’t see the light of day. Dagnabbit, I told him how awesome it is and he said he’ll have a good look at it.
  10. Didn’t need Plan C (shameless begging) nor Plan D (bribery) and let’s not even think about Plan E (death threats) Good onya Daniel!!!
  11. Plan B (aggression)… Quit your sooking and get your whiny azz to the match tonight, K?
  12. Noooo!!! Both problems are surmountable. The ticket price is relatively low, and make replacement buses your friend! They’re not so bad, ok so they pack folks in like sardines but at least you won’t be cold 😃
  13. Look away Blues-haters or those with a weak stomach… Fritta’s mum sent me this. Someone had sent it to her on FB. She showed it to him and he screwed his face up, no words needed.
  14. Yes you can!!!! You can get to the ‘G tonight, Daniel! We need as many Dees peeps as possible. Just imagine how you’ll feel when the final siren sounds and we’re belting out our song and you’re on your couch feeling like [censored] having eaten way too many chips. Come and celebrate Clarrie’s milestone!!!
  15. Oh I know there’s only one Picket Fence. Carrrystttt!!!! They BROKE the MOLD after they made YOU!!!!! PS JEFFO for PM!!!!!!! 😝
  16. None of the above. I embrace winter. I don’t really feel the cold. My poor hands are the only things that do. Can’t wear gloves or mittens since clapping would be muffled but I always have a big supply of hand-warmers and I give them out (especially to kids) when I see any purple hands 🥶
  17. Worry not, Big Spook. I had to work this morning since I do have a job, two jobs in fact. But I’ve got my Red Bulls ready along with a new Solo lemon drink with caffeine that recently came on the market and which I’ve yet to sample, so I’ll be bouncing off the walls come game time!!!
  18. Not at all. Not against Ghost who walks, anyways. He and I are buddies and he has a good heart. If I was gonna be concerned about anyone it would be posters who get banned then reappear under a different username but still spew forth their weird-azz, borderline-obsessive trash. Anyways, on a much more important note, it’s… 🥳🎉 GAMEDAY 🎉🥳 We’ll go into this match brimful of confidence and we’ll bag the win. The Mighty Dees by Claz - 13 points ♥️💙
  19. Ugh it had to be pretty-boy didn’t it 🤮
  20. Ugh you just know they’re gonna fall agonisingly short.
  21. Another review to kill the momentum
  22. Geez it’s a fumble-fest 😂
  23. The Naughton tackle on pretty-boy Ashcroft should’ve been a free… so frustrating.
  24. Spot on Mb, Claz didn’t cope well at all with not being able to play. He doesn’t know how to do sidelines. He tried and it didn’t work out and he spiralled. As you said, he’d never had to deal with injury before.
  25. I’m just happy to see the ball somewhere other than in the Lions goal square
