I had the immense pleasure of meeting our new coach this morning at Gosch’s during the W training session. Chunk, Chappy, Selwyn and Richo were also there. Richo said I should come over to meet Kingy, which I did. Kingy said they were at AAMI and decided to wander over to support the girls. He said today is the first of three days of strategy meetings. He said things are going well (re the meetings) and everyone’s on the same page with the same goals. He’s a very nice person.

something’s not quite right with the world today… the girls are training, but… it’s NOT RAINING!!! Liv is rehabbing. She said she’s looking forward to the day she can start running, in about a month. Goldie is disappointed with not being available but is very hopeful (and pumped) for next week.

Why is this so?

I actually rang the club but their hours today were 11am - 2pm and they’re closed tomorrow. I was calling to ask about Wednesday’s training which is scheduled for 10am, hoping they could confirm it. They won’t be available until 10am on Wednesday so I guess that means I’ll just have to rock up and find out the hard way. I also need to find out about the captain’s run this week. Since we’re playing on Sunday the captain’s run should be on Saturday but the club has mentioned Friday. I think they were guessing we’d be playing on Saturday 🤷‍♀️

Yeah nah no training report today coz no training. Very annoying since I blew off work this morning to be here. It’s also annoying that we weren’t told of the cancellation. They could’ve got someone to nick across to Gosch’s to leave a sign on the side of the tent. We only knew it was cancelled or relocated by the lack of other human beings 😕

I think the thread title should be RAINING and not TRAINING because yet again it’s raining. Will the girls ever get to train on a dry day? Anyways, if you’re heading down today, note the starting time has changed to 12:30pm or 1pm depending on who you ask. And bring an ☔️

We play our QF vs Brisbane next Sunday 9th November at 1:05pm at Ikon.

At this stage it will definitely be at Ikon. The club is pushing for Casey but I doubt that will happen

We really need to talk about this. Firstly… WTF?! I never tire of seeing her drag someone down with such ferocity, regardless of their size. She sticks tackles like her life depends on it. Then she springs up and sets about laying another bone-cruncher. She’s diminutive in stature and not at all imposing to look at but she’s 10ft tall with the strength of a bull when she’s out on the field. Love Heater so much.

Yep… what did I tell y’all. Finally I’m using my clumsiness for good and not evil. Tonight’s stain is Lindt chocolate. And despite a bottle of Mount Franklin at Mordor costing an arm and a leg, it won’t wash chocolate out of jeans 😫

This is one I was wearing tonight… And when I was coming off the ground after banner a woman approached me, pointed to my badge and said, “That’s my daughter!” We chatted for a bit then she said, “Oh and you’ve got Denby’s number on your jumper!” I didn’t have the heart to tell her it’s on my jumper because Melky. But tonight #18 was all about Dingo. The #33 jumper and badge stayed home tonight because LJ was omitted. But something tells me they may never see the light of day again 😕 #MethinksShe’sPerth-Bound

I just realised something… we definitely won’t lose tonight for I’m wearing white jeans and whenever I wear white jeans to the footy we win (men’s and women’s). The reason I’m conscious of this is because also whenever I wear white jeans I spill food or drink on them and I sit on the train home stained with coffee/tomato sauce/Pepsi Max or like last time, soy sauce, and think to myself, well at least we won. Y’all are very welcome 🤗
