Can we talk about Kolt?
I still believe in Kolt. An injury interrupted pre-season in your second year isn’t great. With a new coach and a defined role he’s going to soar in year 3

Trade Targets
Yep I saw that and thought immediately that we could give him that opportunity. Can play as a wingman in both defence and forward, is athletic. However I would assume there would be competition, maybe with teams like North. But worth chasing

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
They've definitely given him a call already then I would say. I feel like if he wanted to coach again, then he would be probably top of the clubs list. Longmire is well-established in Sydney, and I have heard whispers around that he would be unwilling to move down to Melbourne, so while he would be good I think we won't be able to entice him over. I could see Buckley being a good option IF there is good help and assistants around him (Bruce would be good, or other experienced assistants from other clubs) I would be mildly angry if we chose Simpson given how quickly West Coast went down hill, and I think Hinkley will take a break for a year or so Edit: I am coming around to Bucks, I was originally very skeptical, but could see it happening.

How you doing?
I’m feeling very mixed. Sad, Optimistic, Hopeful. It’s such a big decision to part ways with a coach, especially a premiership one. It’s a rough day

Training Run - Light Recovery Session - 5 August 2025
Love your work Harvey W, doing gods work for us 🙏

Simon Goodwin respect thread.
He will be forever a premiership coach. Has been relentlessly combated by the media, and even by us as supporters. He geniunely cared and put his blood, sweat, and tears into our team for 9 years. And for that I salute and thank him, and I'm sure the players do too.

How the club and the board have gone about this is so poor. Right decision, [censored] execution and [censored] timing

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Our young guns are more highly rated and better in my completely unbiased opinion. I think there is more pressure at Carlton too given its a bigger club.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I would be happy with this, he is Brisbane's Fagan successor in waiting

Apparently more change in the coaching department is coming, so I assume Richardson is next, maybe followed by the fitness coach and Choco

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I have a feeling we already have someone on the hook, and think an announcement may be imminent if we sacked Goodwin now.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Hayden Skipworth is highly regarded at the Pies?

Appreciate the premiership and the memories Goody. But this is the right call to make.

Has always seemed destined to Geelong. Time to go really hard after Flanders

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
There is talk about Geelong (shock surprise) But I think he ends up staying at the Saints who want him to stay.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Has had a lot of Hamstring injuries throughout his time at Brisbane and Us, which while he hasn't shown up to his potential, has still impacted him nonetheless.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
We still have 16 players unsigned from this year, will be interesting to see how it plays out. These players are Moniz-Wakefield, Spargo, Sharp, Billings, Henderson, Culley, Melksham, McVee, Brown, Hore, Sestan, Woewodin, Campbell, Fullarton, McDonald, Verrall. Moniz-Wakefield should get another year, showed some attributes last year and was unlucky to do his ACL in preseason. Spargo is a tougher one, but I think we need to be a bit ruthless here. Has been given chances this year and hasn't shown me any reason to deserve another contract. Apparently has played in 10 games this year somehow. Sharp gets another contract. I would like to see him play a game on the wing this weekend, given Lindsay is out. With his run could be a weapon, still has a way to go though. Billings is probably more likely to retire. Has been a good VFL player but hasn't translated to the AFL for us unfortunately. Henderson is a 50/50 for me. He's a depth option but didn't get near in it in a few AFL games. If we need to make space for additions I think he gets cut. Culley should get another contract. Gets a chance to show his worth this week and has earned it with 2 huge VFL games in the last few weeks. Melksham should get another year if he wants it. Is a fantastic mentor for JVR and Jeffo and can kick important bags. McVee has one foot out the door in my opinion. Is a non-free agent so we should get a trade return from that perspective. However, is dissapointing as he has shown a lot in the last few years. Brown is another tough one. I would lean towards giving him a one year contract, get another preseason under his belt and see how he goes. Hore is 99% to be delisted. Has been cruelled by injury and seems like a great guy so this one hurts a little. Sestan is another interesting one. If not for injuries I would say he would've had a debut by now. I feel like he probably gets another contract considering there is apparent interest around the league in him according to Fox Footy a few months back. Woewodin is another difficult one. I think he has stalled in his development this year, and being kept out of the team and even the emergencies in a year of poor performance from the team is very telling. Probably ends up getting delisted, may get picked up in WA. Campbell is also interesting. Is a great person and team player, who has seemingly pushed Verrall out of the number 1 ruck spot in the VFL. I feel he may get another year if he wants it unless he retires. Fullarton is 99% to be delisted. Has also been cruelled by injury, had 2 games this year and did struggle to make any impact. A relevant example of our poor trading since 2021. TMac. What a servant he has been for this team. Him playing next year is a two part thing. 1. It depends on whether he wants to continue playing. 2. It may also depend on what trades/moves we make. If we keep both May + Lever and add Derksen, he may not return. However if for example we trade Lever to North, I would be giving TMac a contract to get him to 250 games. He deserves it. Verrall is another tricky one to gauge. I would be leaning towards a one year contract, however if our interest in Max Heath from the saints comes into fruition, they may lean towards cutting him lose. So a little summary: Retire: Billings, TMac? Delisted: Fullarton, Hore Leaning towards Delisted: Woewodin, Verrall, Henderson, Spargo Leaning towards new contract: Brown, Campbell, Sestan, Keep: Moniz-Wakefield, Melksham, Culley, Sharp Trade: McVee (if needed)

Wade Derksen
According to Footywire is a Non-Free Agent. Essentially means it will have to be a trade. A fourth rounder should get it done you would imagine.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2025
I'm switching to an AFL Reserve membership next year. It's basically the same amount of money as a Dees membership, and I'll get additional games to be able to watch more exciting teams and games, while still watching us.

Trade Targets
Rosas Jnr is the type of player we MUST strongly target. If we are to keep giving Kozzy more midfield time (which we definitely should) then we need a dangerous player in the forward line with speed, and goal sense. No brainer to get him in, stuck behind multiple players at the Suns and is unlucky to be in their side.
-
The List Manager Tim Lamb
I haven't watched much of Heath, but his VFL performances have been stated as good, and seems well liked and regarded at the saints. Would be worth a shout if we decide not to continue with Verrall and the saints add TDK. Would any VFL watchers know if he has any Forward Ability?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
I believe that's the one flaw to this deal. He is very injury prone. If he gets a good run at it for once, he is a top 5 forward in the league in my eyes. If we made this deal, and got 4-6 years of 20 games a year out of him I call that a win
-
Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
This is strictly a hypothetical, but if Hawthorn came to us and offered Mitch Lewis and a late first/ early second for Petracca, should we be taking this deal? He is 27 next year, and unsigned beyond 2026. However is a huge injury risk, but would be a huge forward line improvement.
