  1. According to Footywire is a Non-Free Agent. Essentially means it will have to be a trade. A fourth rounder should get it done you would imagine.
  2. I'm switching to an AFL Reserve membership next year. It's basically the same amount of money as a Dees membership, and I'll get additional games to be able to watch more exciting teams and games, while still watching us.
  3. Rosas Jnr is the type of player we MUST strongly target. If we are to keep giving Kozzy more midfield time (which we definitely should) then we need a dangerous player in the forward line with speed, and goal sense. No brainer to get him in, stuck behind multiple players at the Suns and is unlucky to be in their side.
  4. I haven't watched much of Heath, but his VFL performances have been stated as good, and seems well liked and regarded at the saints. Would be worth a shout if we decide not to continue with Verrall and the saints add TDK. Would any VFL watchers know if he has any Forward Ability?
  5. I believe that's the one flaw to this deal. He is very injury prone. If he gets a good run at it for once, he is a top 5 forward in the league in my eyes. If we made this deal, and got 4-6 years of 20 games a year out of him I call that a win
  6. This is strictly a hypothetical, but if Hawthorn came to us and offered Mitch Lewis and a late first/ early second for Petracca, should we be taking this deal? He is 27 next year, and unsigned beyond 2026. However is a huge injury risk, but would be a huge forward line improvement.
  7. And the punches in the gut keep on coming…
  8. If he doesn’t get off, games gone
  9. Feedback is an interesting way of putting it. I would prefer the term ‘expletive driven abuse’ Gotta feel for the media/membership team today
  10. The FD needs an arguably bigger overhaul than the playing list, which is why this off-season is likely to be an absolute clusterf--k. There is a huge lack of leadership at board level and at the club, players probably want to leave, opposition players probably don't want to come here (poorly run club, culture problems, Casey, smaller club, possibly bottom 4 team, etc) We have a vast amount of our salary cap tied up in Trac, Clarry, Gawn, May, Lever, Kozzy and for the most part the onfield performances have been putrid. Issues such as the forward line, ball use, i50's have been ignored and patched over for years, the same thing as putting a poster or picture over a hole in a wall. I am absolutely terrified for how badly these next few weeks and the off-season could go.
  11. Unfortunately tonight's meeting will not result in any changes. No CEO or president to make those changes, and no spine or gut to make the needed hard calls. Goodwin will walk away with "full-backing of the board" and the mismanagement will continue.
  12. I took my mate too his first afl game last week against Carlton. That went well too 😊
  13. And our Dees Girls in a few weeks!
  14. I respect that, especially for people who have paid for memberships and tickets.
  15. I have been a member since I was 5. I was genuinely going to go next week, as the game doesn’t fall during my work hours for once. I’m not knocking on anyone that does go, I just don’t want my team to bottom out and become a basket case again for years.
  16. This is exactly what I meant by my boycott. It’s not a temper tantrum I’m giving up on my team, I’m rusted on to the Dees. I’m boycotting because I care about my team, to make necessary changes that should have already been made.
  17. I know we should, and we have. But I’m conflicted, and its my opinion it’s ridiculous how this poor management and performance has kept getting worse and being not dealt with. I’ll still be watching on TV but I can’t put myself through another game there for now
  18. It may be the only way to send a message to the club that this mismanagement and poor performances should not be tolerated. I know it’s extreme, but it’s worth considering how not many will show up anyway.
  19. Pretty Self-explanatory
  20. The good news for us is that Judd is a non free agent from the stuff I’ve looked at. This means it would have to be a trade most likely. I personally want him to stay, however if he wants to leave back to WA, then fair enough, there’s no benefit to us holding out. In terms of trade value, he’s most likely worth an early second rounder from west coast, and maybe adding on a third rounder from Fremantle. Dream scenario would be as part of a Luke Jackson trade, however I also wouldn’t mind Neil Erasmus or Pat Voss in return from Fremantle. Possibly even Harry Edwards from west coast who we had interest in last year.
  21. Based on a little research McGovern was contracted for 2026 only, which if under a similar deal that we got with the Brayshaw payout, shouldn’t harm West Coast at all. For Murphy it looks like he had a contract through to the end of this year or next, worth 1 million, which was paid out by Collingwood, however no mention of whether it’s out of the cap, and the percentage like we had. Our scenario is slightly different to those 2 considering Brayshaw was on a longer term contract on bigger money, which just as mentioned earlier is our bad luck with contracts. This is no criticism of Brayshaw in any way either, I hope he is doing well and the right decision was made for him to retire.
  22. I think it’s also worth noting how much of an impact Angus Brayshaws contract will have on our cap in the next 3 years. After negotiation with the AFL, it was decided that only 50% of his contract will appear in the salary cap player payments for 2026, however the full contract will appear for 2027 and 2028. It was a 3 million dollar payout, so say an average of 600,000 a year. If this deal was backended which most are nowadays, we could be having 300000-400000 blocked out next year and 700000-900000 for the two years after, which considerably hamstrings us for any free agents or large trades, especially given the Trac and Clarry situations. Our list management team is incredibly under the pump.
  23. Elite Airplane reference, love that movie
  24. GET. THE. MAN. IN!!
  25. Ahh that’s a huge shame. That leaves us with very little options when it comes to forwards, which will cause an uproar when we don’t bring in any.
