CASEY: Elimination Final vs Williamstown
Thanks for the tip DP! Unfortunately I do General English. However I am a debater, and my oral presentation will be on Mental Health in the afl, so hopefully those skills will help me ☺️

CASEY: Elimination Final vs Williamstown
Pretty much because I'm absolutely Dees obsessed (to the point where it's mostly my only hobby, whoops) My family members (who are Melb supporters too) have gotten sick of me talking about it so often, now this site is my outlet 🙃

Welcome to Demonland: Max Heath
That's what I figure as well. I think the club values Heath over Verrall, considering a multitude of factors especially forward craft ability. As he's out of contract, that's probably curtains unfortunately for WV. Edit: WV has kicked 5.7 in VFL this year in 18 games, MH has kicked 8.7 in VFL this year in 10 games and 3.2 in 4 AFL games.

Farewell Judd McVee
Judd McVee will stay. I trust GW much more than the media. Luke Jackson will stay at Freo. Still worth a look but they won't let him go.

Trade Targets
Would be great. However given the Giants are losing other talls (Aleer to Saints, Derksen to us) And he is contracted for next year. I highly doubt they let him go (given their stance on Derksen last year.) In this case I believe we prioritise the basically 'locked up' deal for Derksen and I reckon another 'done deal' on Max Heath from the saints as a Forward/Ruck option.

Wade Derksen
Cal Twomey mentions him as coming to us in the latest Inside Trading on AFL.com.au. I trust him most out of all the journalists in this space.

I don’t know if Cornes is the right person to be listening to, he has an agenda on quite a few players including Flanders. It’s up to what our recruiting team and new coach want, but I think he could at the very least be a solid contributor, and better than what we currently have in that area, he walks into our starting 22.

Wade Derksen
He is 1-2cm taller than May. Can be a key or a 2nd tall at least

Wade Derksen
Could also see that as a possibility given our history of liking swingman options. I will support him like I do for all our players if he does come over.

Wade Derksen
Us re-signing TMac gives me the impression that maybe Derksen isn't coming to Melbourne. Even then this signing wouldn't exactly fill me with confidence for our list next year.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I might be clutching at straws here but if Koz is super close with his cousin, maybe it's been pre-planned as part of him signing on long term? We did have Roy George training with the boys last summer as well.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Jake 'Milkman' Melksham?

Trade Targets
Carlton will get compensation, he's an unrestricted free agent. The League have a formula based on age, and the new contract of the free agent. Based on the predicted offers from Filth and Dogs, will probably be end of first round, start of second round compensation.

Demons Ponder New Strategy Boss
Two Ex-Demons coaching names in Craig Jennings and Marcus Wagner come to mind for this role in my opinion. Jennings was a game strategy and education co-ordinator for us, won the AFLX premiership as the coach ; is currently at the Giants living out of a van. Would be nice to lure him back. Meanwhile Wagner was our Chief Innovation Officer, who resigned earlier this year (the rumour mill contends there was a falling out with Goodwin) Also has experience working alongside Bucks at the Pies for a number of years (could be one of Bucks people that is brought in.) Could also see it being someone different, aka a long time assistant coach at another club such as Brendon Lade from the Dogs or David Hale from the Hawks.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Agree with most of what you've said. I think there is a 50/50 chance that McAdam 'retires' Hunter style (basically a settlement/contract payout to open the list spot.) Oliver is going to be going nowhere. Had better form the last few weeks and very little external interest. I'd back him in for a big preseason. Culley probably is more of a tall winger than a 2nd back or key forward. However I could also see him playing as a 2nd/3rd forward who can leap and clunk big marks. Spargo is an unrestricted free agent, so basically if the club decides to not delist him, the ball is in his court. Once again though, I wouldn't think there would be much external interest, could come down to the new coaches preference. JVR just needs a big pre-season with better inside 50 entries next year. I have him locked in for 30+ goals next year barring any serious injury.

Trade Targets
Given he was only drafted 2 years ago, and has shown potential (15 Goals in 9 VFL Games this season) His value should still be decently high. Maybe could get done for an early second rounder or Lever (which in my eyes considering we already have Kalani and Toby coming in the draft, a second rounder would be expendable) We have maintained our interest in him from his draft year, and I expect for the right price we will come knocking to North.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Flanders would be on considerable money for 26 and 27 (considering that Gold Coast have historically had to overpay to keep players.) If St Kilda gets him, then simply they can't afford Windhager and he goes. Lots to play out but I am interested which way this goes.

I still rate this kid very highly. Has goal sense and high upside. Under the right development team, and if gotten on the cheaper end of the scale in terms of players and picks going out, I would be thrilled with that.
