AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
The only way we get Pickett in my opinion is to miss out on one of Farrow and Nairn by trading down the order.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
I’m happy with that. Fox footy compares Farrow to Jordan Dawson, can play off half back and midfield, decent kick. Most importantly is versatile, we love versatility

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
That’s the big question. Old Melbourne wouldn’t, wonder if the new admin would be a bit more ruthless in these types of scenarios.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I think it’ll end up being Nairn and Farrow/XTaylor whoever slides through. Have read somewhere we are into Addinsall from suns academy who could slide to 37 (or wherever it ends up being) but if suns match, I can see us taking best available small forward

2026 AFL Fixture
Well I’m from Gippsland so at least there’s a reliable v-line train system…oh…

2026 AFL Fixture
I have a little prediction since Anzac Eve and King Birthday are not our home games this year, the AFL has to give us a home game against a big Victorian club (hence why we’ve played the filth twice for eternity) If it’s not the filth this year I’d like it to be a home game against Geelong, and hopefully we don’t play them twice and we don’t have to travel down to that [censored].

Perfect for me! Public holiday so I get off retail part time work without wasting leave.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I find it very interesting in the November phantom form guide we aren’t linked to Sharp, Grij or Schubert at this point in time. Cal is usually pretty spot on, even this early. As to who we are linked to, we are named under Robey, Cumming, X Taylor, Farrow, Dovaston, Pickett and Nairn (That’s 2 draft experts saying this now)

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Just a hunch of mine, but I’ve been doing my research on Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves. Seems a very handy player, given his utility status.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I am coming around to picking Nairn with 7 or 8, especially if JT thinks so. From footage and online sources is a good field kick as well as a good set shot (Frittaesque on his left foot.) Isn’t speedy, but also isn’t slow. Marking and contest skills are impressive for a medium forward/winger. Good endurance and has good footy IQ (good at getting out the back of his opponent, overworking them). I’m not a recruiter and I could be wrong but he seems to tick some King boxes in my opinion.

I wouldn’t mind a nice round one Sunday Arvo at the G against the giants again

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Haven't looked deeply into Nairn but probably wouldn't be around our two first round picks? We can't go past a Cumming/Sharp/Farrow if they get to our picks in my opinion

Farewell Christian Petracca
7,8 and F1 (probably 10-18) is a head turner in my opinion. For a 30 year old possibly on the decline I think we win that trade. Sets us up nicely for the future, time for a good ol death ride for the suns next year.

The List Manager Tim Lamb
Unfortunately Lamb will get bashed by our supporters and be made the scapegoat, when the returns we get for Trac and Clarry aren’t his fault entirely. They’ve tried hard to get Humphrey, we’re blocked by the Suns and that’s the best you could ask to be active and trying to make things happen. Today is going to be a sad day as we lose 2 legends of the footy club, but to get 2x Top 10 picks for a 30 year old, and to get more salary off the books is decent business in really tough circumstances for the list management team.

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Pick 42 makes sense I think. Good get Dees, am stoked with this for many reasons

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Evidence? BBQ Photos, I would say toilet photos but I feel that would be quite weird. Medical?

Welcome to Demonland: Changkuoth Jiath
Would be very happy with this. Makes our backline better and allows AMW more time to get back to form after his ACL and for Rivers to go into the midfield permanently. Surely a late second gets this done?

Bailey Humphrey
Don’t worry am currently planning out that career path as we speak. Although I will have to be careful that I won’t be Mole 2.0
-
Bailey Humphrey
Honestly I’d just be happier if he came out and said tonight that he was staying at the suns instead of this just not happening at all come Wednesday night. This is mostly because I have exams in a few weeks and cannot afford another full school day wasted or a trip to the emergency department.

Farewell Christian Petracca
I’m beginning to accept it will be 7 and 8 with pick swaps here and there for Petracca. I do feel we will need to go hard after Florent, Simpkin, Steele or Jiath as a more mature age player to replace lost players in our best 23. I wonder what the chances are we go to the Tigers and offer 7 and 8 for Pick 3 (which will likely get pushed back anyway) JT has had discussions with and likes Sullivan Robey so I’m wondering if we move up for that reason?
