  1. And not to mention any pick they got won't be better than Lindsay. He'd be a top 5 mid in any other draft He's played what, like 4 or 5 games? And had his season interrupted by a knee injury. Please
  2. And not to mention any pick they got won't be better than Lindsay. He'd be a top 5 mid in any other draft
  3. It's not worth looking at what other teams did what that pick but rather what Taylor could've done with the pick Eg - Anastopolous , still avaible was Hugo Garcia, Lawson Humphries, Archie Roberts However, my point is, Taylor is not the problem. He has hit on over 80% of his picks since coming to the club. Lamb has not built on the premiership and his recruitment since has set us back
  4. Just lol at the name of this thread. Since 2019, lets look at the names Jason Taylor has brought to the club Luke Jackson (Pick 3) Kozzie Pickett (Pick 12) Trent Rivers (Pick 32) Bailey Laurie (pick 22 - traded up for Holmes but he went the pick before) Jake Bowey (pick 21) Fraser Rosman (Pick 34) Van Rooyen (Pick 19) Taj Woewodin (Pick 65 F/S) Matthew Jefferson (Pick 15) Jed Adams (Pick 38) Windsor (Pick 7) Kolt (Pick 13) Harvey Langford (Pick 6) Xavier Lindsay (Pick 12) Now that also ignores the premiership list he built before hand (Salem, Petracca, Brayshaw, Jordon, Petty, Sparrow, Fritsch, ANB, Harmes, Spargo, Hunt, Chandler) Plus absolute gems he has found in the PS draft like Turner and McVee Now let's look at What Tim Lamb has done since he took over as List Manager in 2019. Yes initially he had success brining in Langdon, May, Ben Brown) But since winning a premiership and attempting to build a dynasty, lets look at the picks we squandered giving to Lamb to trade instead of trusting Taylor Hunter, Dunstan, McAdam, Billings, Harry Sharp, Fullerton, Tom Campbell, Schache Yeah - I know who trust at this club
  5. I'm sure @Ghostwriter enjoyed that game and first quarter performance as those of us who actually care about the direction of the club were disgusted at what we saw in that first quarter, but seeing as losing every week now makes him happy - must've been a great weekend for him
  6. I LOLOLOLOL at the fact the clown thinks he’s made some sort of selection statement by dropping a defender despite defending well (but not dropping the one who had 7 kicked in him) and 2 kids but then keeping Petty in the side Dropping JVR over Petty shows Goodwin isn’t actually serious with his “selection statements” and hopefully the players see through it as well Cannot wait for this contract to run down because the damage he does to this footy club in the meantime is going to be irreparable
  7. Not sure who said it was good He's going at 65% this year, opposed to 67% last year. Less noticeable entering 50 from the wing than coming out defense, butchering it and getting smashed on the rebound. but Glad you're okay with that sort of mediocrity, the same poor standards the club has come to accept that means the coach who has taken this list to 15th will be at the helm next year without his position even being up for discussion
  8. Windsor's kicking isn't just poor, it's diabolical. I blame the coaches, by moving him to half back, they've nullified all the exciting things he was doing lasty year and brought out the flaws and made them glaringly obvious. Playing half back you have to be a good kick or we get slammed on the rebound. Running down the wing and kicking inside 50 you can at least set up for. (well good teams can) Move him back to the midfield, the experiment has not worked. They've taken one of the most exciting things about 2024 and turned it into a disaster - just like they've done with Rivers
  9. And the genius Goodwin solution is to REMOVE Rivers from the midfield and put more of Oliver and Viney in there. The treatment of Rivers this year, a year after his breakout is a joke. Langdon tags the best player out of the game, but Rozee runs free all day Goody is not the answer anymore
  10. How anyone, ANYONE can think this guy should start the season as coach is beyond me. Even ignoring the fact there are 2 premiership coaches looking for work right now, it's simply a case of thank you for everything Goody and best of luck for the future. The facts are simple. He can't motivate a good group of players, he has wasted 2 years with this list, and he is clueless to fixing problems that have been going on for four years now. Another year of Goody would be another wasted year which we simply just can't afford. 4 years of forward line issues and incompetent inside 50 service, 2 years with no finals were 15th with this list and no first round pick If he is coaching next year and not even entertaining the idea that he should be gone, we're not a serious football club and therefore we should be not be treated as one. Get rid now
  11. Wasn't already posted it in here that he melksham and oliver missed a week each for discplinary reasons Fritsch found form against Essendon, was not a footballing decision to drop him.
  12. I think it's more clear than ever that a new coach is needed with this team. When you see the list and talent and they way they can play and then lose games constantly over 3 years because we have no ideas going forward, you realise what could've been Dont waste it now Me thinks though that Kozzie resigning is the first clue that Goody will stick around
  13. Go back to pre season and I don't think anyone at the club would've put any money on Kozzie staying. Keeping him last year was a desperate way for us to salvage the off season. To then keep him now and long term is a serious credit to everyone at the club and credit to the culture. No way you can keep an unhappy player in a culturally different environment away from their family without showing them the love and support that we have shown Kozzie. Well done Melbourne
  14. You don't drop forwards who kick 3 goals. Especially when your forward line stinks
  15. Such a pity that one of the best midfielder's in the clubs history is such a drop kick. However, if you're so desperate to go and get to Geelong, you'd have no problems signing a new contract that reduces your salary so that we can get full value for you. Otherwise buckle up buddy, you're here to fulfil the contract you signed
  16. So telling our social media couldn’t get it together to create some debut content we’re so far behind each team in this regard
  17. No one pick up on the way he raves about McVees season and top 6 finish in the b&f but then gives him a lower 2024 ranking than Shane McAdams 1 goal in 3 games
  18. The club keeping him for this year is a serious credit to how much he loved and respect Goodwin Any other player would’ve forced a move in the circumstances the question is what can Freo give, but knowing Melbourne were very easy to deal with in situations like this
  19. Spoke to someone high up at the Power and they do not do draft analysis on other top picks. They said that if it's true Lindsay went where he did, and he's not a top 5 pick, the only explanation would be it's the greatest crop of mids you'll see. He'd be a top 5 mid in any other draft
  20. One thing I have noticed about this forum however, is that anyone who a) Dares to point out there is something wrong with the club or b) Dares to provide any information about it Gets attacked relentlessly. What's the second one about. Oh and c) Gets a WARNING for innocently mistakenly naming one person they didn't know not to because they're new but hey what's a little fun without autocracy
  21. I would also like it to be publicly known that I have never taken money to voice an opinion on here, but I would be very willing to be someone's mouthpiece for any price. Does not have to be a lot
  22. If it is, then that same pick for McAdams is an absolute howler from the club
  23. Cornes is absolutely spot on here, and anyone who puts this down to a media bashing has way too much faith in the club. I’m all for accommodating a family request but the club at every right to tell ANB he signed a deal, and we will only let go for maximum value. He is more valuable to us as a player, then the pick he his worth in a trade a straight swap for a bloke who can’t kick 25 meters is pretty much where our list management is at right now
  24. I understand this is some sort of superdraft but the picks in the teens going to have less and less value as the academy picks come in the club willing to lose it’s future pick shows were not 100% aware of where we stand right now this will be another jackson scenario in reverse where the trading club will think the pick is going to be teens but is actually going to be a gift of a high pick for another team Dangerous territory right now to be playing with our future first unless you’re getting a player in right now to improve us
  25. I think Dan Houston answered the question for us. our biggest fish right now is an uncapped GWS VFL player we can’t even land Lever and May are really the last big gets I can think of. I remember watching the doco “show me the money” And they spoke about how our pitch to Cerra was so impressive. Where is that Melbourne demons? we won a premiership in 2021 and the list of recruits since then is not very pretty. you want to be a destination club. Fix Your culture. And take it seriously. ofherwise you’ll keep missing the big names that would’ve taken us to another premiership
