  1. Addiction is a disease. Clarry isn't a bad guy - he's lost his way. It's a sad reality
  2. Pick 7 (Latrelle) and Steele Or flanders I know who I wanted back then, and I want it even more now
  3. Same with Lindsay. Noah Anderson did it at Gold Coast. Takes a real talent to go inside and be unbeatable from day 1. Even Jagga Smith cant run out 4 quarters of football right now
  4. Very telling he was asked and another former player wasn't.
  5. Why not send the message to Sparrow
  6. โ€œSending a messageโ€ is only really impactful when dropping the guy that deserves to be dropped. It has an opposite effect when perceived as un unfair. Rivers was far from our worst last week. Another case of training all preseason in the midfield, then asked to play defense and doing a decent job of it. If you wanted to send a message, Sparrow and Salem were there for the taking. In fact the point that Sparrow still is in the side probably is one of the reasons why so many standards have dropped
  7. Dropping Rivers is a [censored] astonishing decisions that really makes me question what the coaches are doing
  8. Can confirm the Blues aren't looking forward to facing him either.
  9. Genuinely true - around 7 were bad on matchday and 5 were over it but hadn't trained well
  10. No, only one way to build a tank. Look at guys like Richards who started at half back and made the transition. He already has the advantage of seeing the defensive side of the game. HIs 2024 in the middle was very decent.
  11. Also worth nothing the flu tore through the club last week and still impacted us on the weekend. More important how we respond against Carlton
  12. Rivers is our best option in there Criminal Goodwin ignored him and now King doing the same
  13. Hope GC know whatโ€™s good for them and give his mum a call At least thereโ€™s more time now to concentrate on that brand he doesnโ€™t care about
  14. We desperately need a new list manager
  15. Reports from the club are that this has been the best time at the club since the Hub in '21 and it's clear as a fan it's one of the most enjoyable periods we've had in a long time. My god wasn't that fun? I sat there half way through the game thinking, boy even if we lose, how proud we are of the boys to have a crack, put in the ffort and follow the game plan. They ticked all 3 boxes. To come away with a win against a team hyped up to be finals contenders when we were told to settle for bottom 4 was great. Hands up to Kingy. The 3 players he brought in from other clubs are no superstars, but each one did their job and contributed as key players. Players who were no where last year played big roles in the win. Sharp, Culley, Kolt, Howes all looked like their careers were at a crossroads. Trelly with the most exciting debut we've seen since the last bloke called Pickett pulled on the jumper. And my god Van Rooyen just looks like a monster. No surprise from what I've heard around the club as well when I saw 2/3 from the playing group like posts on social media this morning about Trac being gone either. Fun times ahead Dees fans
  16. We did We pulled out at the end Me thinks we wouldn't have if we knew what a basket case May would turn out to be
  17. Not sure what happened with us and Derksen - however we let him down like Saints did with Leek Aleer. Glad he's found a home back in Victoria with his family
  18. If heโ€™s available at our pick, the other teams havenโ€™t done their homework
  19. Selecting a Premiership photo is not acknowledging your captain Gawn is the adult in the room
  20. Christian is one of the most calculated players in the league. You could possibly know. His farewell post wouldโ€™ve been important to him and he wouldโ€™ve selected every single photo very carefully One very noticeable absence from them
  21. What weโ€™re seeing right now is the very reason why Melbourne had been protecting Oliver from the media and telling them not to report on him. We are seeing how fragile his mental state really is. Not our problem anymore
  22. Steele is a good get and a good piece of business at that price Club moved well after the Oliver news Good leadership, good club man, the anti Oliver. An excellent trade off
  23. Does anyone at the club actually know what our strategy is? rebuild or find all the discards and outcasts from the around the league?
  24. Oliver for Jiath ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
  25. The only mistake GC have made is not realizing that when BH does go home, their picks will have little value in the Tassie drafts also when he has us picks of sides, he wonโ€™t be choosing the bottoms ones Their return wonโ€™t be worth it, Better to cash in now but the only team in the league easier to swindle than Gold Coast is Melbourne so we clearly did not fight hard enough and we accepted for a while weโ€™re not getting him Club has known that for a while and now it seems weโ€™re giving in to GC demands of later picks as well this is why bottom clubs will always be bottom
