Great goal by Howes disallowed. BOG from what I've seen.

Howes looks classy. Hopeful future. McAdam staking a claim. Not Jefferson's conditions but still competitive. Laurie nearly double figure tackles.

Yep. Jury's out for me but if we drop out of the finals race in the near future I think it's time to give him a run at games at AFL level. Seems like a player lacking confidence when his in the senior team but it's hard to fault his form in the VFL. He is contracted so let's find out. Would be a bonus if he showed something with the 'big boys'.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Not the worst thing. Showed tonight what we can do at our best(Petracca plays we win). Get a pick in the top 10, get Petracca and Clarry back to their best but, most importantly, be very active in free agency and trade period. Josh Battle please. Add midfield depth and of course a support forward/ ruck. If that all occurs and Max and May can reproduce we will be right back amongst it in 2025.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Really hope Jefferson caught the early plane home and kicks a bag against the Bullants tomorrow. Tough initiation but play him against the Eagles. Barrass & co. not easy but at least he is a very accurate kick. Season effectively over now so let's experiment. Petty gone for awhile I suspect.

PREGAME: Rd 16 vs Brisbane
Is this an impossible task? Extremely difficult for sure. A fit Lever will help. Windsor needs a rest and it's Hunter for mine. AMW might just add some spark. Prior to last year our recent record at the Gabba is reasonable. Our last quarter against the Roos was awful but to be 6 goals up at three quarter time with so many blokes down was impressive. If we had extended that by two or so goals we'd be having a different discussion. Roos no easy beats now. Knocked off West Coast at Optus and led the reigning premiers by 54 points. Inexperience and umpires cost them. Lions in good form ,however, Port deplorable and even Fagan alluded to the fact that illness had swept through the Power camp. The week before StKilda put 106 points on Brisbane which is unheard of this season. I'm not always optimistic but have a feeling here. We owe them for embarrassing us at the G. Few gave the Lions a chance that night. Second week after a bye helps. $4.95 seems exorbitant. Let's see.

Please get off Clarry's back. Show some respect!
Love Clarry and all that he has done for this club. 4 time b&f and major component in our flag. Up until this season arguably the most consistently brilliant Demon I have ever seen on a weekly basis. Given the tumultuous off field problems and almost complete lack of pre season. It's a miracle he is even out there. I feared he might be gone. Given the absence of Petracca and, to a lesser extent, Brayshaw he is the main man to be tagged. Champions work their way through it and he will. Meantime against North Viney was the beneficiary and one of the main reasons we won. Easy to understand media and others getting stuck into him. It's what they do. Beggars belief that any Demon supporter that has witnessed this champions career thus far can be so critical of one of our all time greats.' Form is temporary, class is permanent.' Never has a saying been more applicable than to the superb Clayton Oliver. Write him off at your peril. He is a Demon for life.

Steven May staging fine
With Leigh Matthews on this one. It's a joke. Sure he milked it a little. So what? Whose to say he didn't wrench his neck slightly in the tackle and holding his head was an instant response? Either way the AFL has caved to media pressure. Highly doubt the MRO would have picked this up otherwise. Finally, does May have a staging record? Methinks not. Multiple other culprits have gotten away with far worse. The fact that Tom ' The Tool' Morris is outraged at May's actions is all one needs to know.

Has had plenty of it since half time but his decision making and turnovers have been killers.

Please tell me I'm wrong but did we extend Schache until the end of 2025?

CASEY: RD 13 vs North Melbourne VFL
My humblest apologies. For some reason I regularly confuse the names of Jefferson and Fullarton. The latter is a bust. The former will debut soon.

Yep I'm being tough on Kentfield but he is long odds.

Are you confusing him with Kynan Brown? Stronger body than Schache. Real chance he plays in the next couple of weeks. His accuracy is an asset. Presented really well against a decent North defence.
