  1. Problem is Fullarton is not a ruckman. He's just a VFL standard ruckman. In actual fact I'm not sure what he is. Goody's presser was damning . In as many words said Fullarton wasn't up to it ie no ruckman on the list to replace Gawn. Indicated Fullo had a lot to learn. That's being generous. Unless we get a genuine ruckman with some AFL experience in the off season forget about it. Nick Bryan springs to mind. Gawn is rising 33. Unlike the time with Grundy coaching staff need to be firm with him and insist he has weeks off. Give the likes of Bryan as much exposure as possible ready to take over in the next couple of years. Do nothing and we're doomed. If he's out of favour I'd settle for Two Metre Peter. Not in form atm but has runs on the board.

Talk of trading Clarry is simply embarrassing. In the top 5 Demons of all time. It could be argued he's No1. 4 B& F and could have had two Brownlows if not for Petracca, and vice versa. Given the tumultuous off season he had I'm amazed with his output thus far and even the fact he's on the park.Clearly no fitness base and flying before the finger injury. His numbers still stack up very well but below his imperious best. He has had to take more heat with the absence of Brayshaw and Petracca. We need to address this in the off season. With a full pre season and no distractions a 5th b&5f is in the offing. To consider trading him is disrespectful.

  4. My understanding is that we have a first round pick currently standing at 9. This will be affected by FA compensation but I hope not. Can anyone enlighten me on academy picks for Swans, Suns etc?. We have pick 38 in the second round, 42 in the third and a 4th rounder. If we slip below the Suns and Hawks it will be pick 7 without impediments.
  5. Yes we do.
  6. Fantastic! Shows his commitment to the club and in our direction. Might sound a bit strange after today! For me is the heir apparent key back when May retires. People forget he is only 24. Could be the main man for 10 years. These blokes don't grow on trees. Has had a poor season but in fairness is not a natural forward. Definitely not a ruck. Form down back earlier in his career was first class. Need to get other building blocks in place by stocking up the midfield and obviously a genuine ruck. I've got confidence in Jefferson coming on. Reckon we will finish 10-13 on the table. Means a decent first pick we can use or trade.. Not sure on the academy picks in the draft? Just hope Battle and Baker stay put. Money in the cap means we can be active. Very interesting October lay ahead.
  7. Not that it makes any difference to the result but why does Sparrow continue to 'walk on water'? Seriously, when was the last decent game he has played? 2021 GF? So did everyone. Please don't give me 'he's playing a role'. [censored]. OK, midfield cupboard is fairly bare but make an example this bloke. Promote Brown and let Tom kick off the dew at Casey.
  8. With you all the way on this. In many ways it's been the season from hell. First Clarry, then Brayshaw and Smith, Petracca and now Gawn. What are the odds? Forget finals for me. Be competitive for the remainder of the season and finish as low as possible with respectability. Not in the camp of play and win a final. Adds 3 weeks to your season. Hope Battle and Baker stay and get a decent pick in the top 10. Be aggressive in the trade as we have cap space and half a dozen delistings. Aforementioned players have good pre seasons, younger players continue to develop and it all looks very different.* Only caveat is numerous other times coming at the rate of knots 😏
  9. It's a scandal. Monstered at VFL level. Some on these boards think 'Fullo' is the real deal. Laughable if it wasn't embarrassing.
  10. This could get ugly again. Last week's win against Essendon not that meritorious.
  11. Fair enough but I can't recall a game that Adams has impressed. He rarely gets much of the footy and looks slow. Kentfield is able behind a player like Bell. His chances of 'making it' are negligible.
  12. Whilst not suited to the conditions what on earth did we see in Kentfield? Mind you, didn't seem to bother Bell. 3 disposals. Tracking the same as KFW. Barely seems VFL standard. Jed Adams is better, as one would hope, but is a major concern. 4 disposals as a defender in a losing team is inexplicable.

    Yes, he's looking so 'soft'.

    Been watching Lobb of late?

    Dan Houston. Yes please!🤞
  16. Jack Macrae sub again tonight. Out of favour and can be a ball magnet. Would add to our midfield depth. Turns 30 in a few weeks though.

But they haven't got a first round pick! 🤣
  18. I'm with you. Might not be superstar material but he is a genuine ruck. Fullarton and Kentfield ain't!
  19. Someone needs to explain to me why we would overlook Jack Bell who is under our nose to go out and recruit Fullarton and Kentfield? Better ruck than both and showed today he is capable of kicking goals in ordinary conditions. At 23 year of age its got me beat!
  20. Thank you🙏Very poor reporting by Josh Barnes given the article is about players contracts!
  21. Reported as such through numerous media outlets. Just not sure if it has been extended. Can anyone confirm or otherwise?Hunter is completely cooked. His troublesome calf seemingly beyond repair. Gave us a good 2023 but is now a list clogger. Really hoping his contract expires this season.
  22. He has another year on his contract.
  23. Pretty sure that Hunter's contract expires at the end of this season. If we have extended him by another year it's sheer madness. Have I missed something? The original contract definitely expires at the end of 2024.
  24. Petty and a decent pick for Thilthorpe? Am I dreaming?
  25. Unfortunately he does have a two year contract. In the unlikely event he does play he will be monstered by Darcy and Jackson. His ruckwork against Bryan and co. last week was nothing short of embarrassing.
