The Josh Smillie Thread
The answer there is yes, he has proven he can play forward and back. Thus he has more going for him than Tauru, who people are considering for pick 5, so I think he should definitely be considered a high prospect if the expected top 5 are gone.

Welcome Back to Demonland Marty Hore
Do we have room for M.Hore, K.Brown, and Melksham?

Can we still use pick 42?
Goad is a good hit out, but his ball skills are very green. And we already have 2 other developing rucks, not that I know how well they are going.

Welcome to Demonland: Caleb Windsor
I do like Windsor for our pick 11; but I'd be a little concerned if we couldn't get Curtin at #6 and might end up with Sanders and Windsor as our 2 picks. How far away are D. Turner and Jefferson from breaking in the side, cause we do have future KPP issues with May, Petty, BBB, and McDonald. Do we need to bolster our tall stocks more importantly than taking best available that might be 2 midfields?

Lance Collard
Maybe McVee is capable, but I would of thought he didn't have the agility for a potential midfield player. If we going to give an existing player a midfield run, I think Rivers would get a crack before McVee. But as to the topic, I'd like to see one of either Sanders, Windsor, or Wilson rather than Collard for similar sized kids who if you really wanted a small half forward flank type player could start in that position and build on it to where they will end up.

Trading pick 6
Regarding the vote for trading Curtin for F1(WC), can WC actually make the offer? Do they still have F2(WA)? If so, I voted yes.

Trading pick 6
So does every team really. There are those who want to rise in the draft, and those who are looking to trade down for more picks.

The Pick 1 Thread
Not happening. As if WC would give away two pick 1's. And I've said it before, they would want 2, not 3. You've got more chance with a simple trade of WC: In 3, 6; Out: 1, 23 North: In 1, 11, 23; Out, 2, 3 MFC: In: 3; Out: 6, 11 And to do this for Duursma or McKercher to me is mistake, when we can get 2 really good players for our future at 6 and 11.

Trading pick 6
I mean WC won't do any deal unless they get 2 so that confirms they get their guy. If NM gets 1 and Dee's get 2, they could still miss out on who they want. So why wouldn't you accept 3, unless its not Duursma you are after, but Curtin?

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Dogs probably won't but between WCE, North, and Hawks he is a chance to be taken before we get a look in. If he does go before us, we might actually take O-Sullivan before Sanders since there is more midfield talent to be taken at 11, whereas there is not alot of choice for KPP thereafter.

The Pick 1 Thread
It is a strong hand, they would not trade 2+3 for 1; however I definitely could see them trading 2 and 15+ for 1. All North need to entice WC is another pick around 10. This would guarantee Curtin and another good player. Although Curtin might be be available at 6, I don't think WC will risk 6 as their best chance for him. Dee's on the other hand will be happy with either Curtin or Sanders depending on who is still available at 6. This scenario requires either WB/Haw to be super interested in Watson or another over these two or we could miss out on both.

Can we still use pick 42?
I'd love Billy Wilson to come to Dee's, he is so under-rated. A lot like Rivers who can carry the ball through the middle from half back and hit a leading target inside 50. Even though he is under-rated, I still expect someone to pick him up by the end of 2nd round picks, and my sources say the Dee's haven't even interviewed him so he is not on our radar.

Can we still use pick 42?
I think we've been saving 42 for K.Brown.

The Pick 1 Thread
I disagree, North's list is full of midfielders. If north can't get Reid, they really should be choosing Curtin and Duursma and both of these guys I think are worth more than just Harley Reid. I would take any of these three at the Dee's but unless we trade up, I think they are going to be taken.

Harry DeMattia
Harry might be able to bowl a googly, but he was outclassed all year by Billy Wilson at Stingrays and some very good moments in Vic Country. Kid won Stingrays B&F, #6 for Coates League, played all Vic Country games, made team of the year. Sure he is not a top 10 draft pick but I'm surprised he is not getting more recognition than Harry De Mattia.

Nick Watson
Watson is a good player, but whether he can continue his good form into the AFL is a risk I'd not take. Regardless, I don't think we need another small forward with Kozzi, Chandler, Spargo and McAdam. Even if we manage to move up the draft order we should let Watson slide to Bulldogs where I think he will end up anyway. Zane Duursma and Daniel Curtin should be our primary pick if Harley Reid is already taken. Pick 11 is the interesting one depending on who is still available and who of the above we already chose.

Trade Rumours 2023
First time I've really listened to trade talk, and yes I think Lamb did a very good job this year improving our position. Maybe we could of done better, maybe not. Hopefully there is still more talk to be had before we go to the draft, but if things stay as is I'm pretty happy with #6, and #11.
