You’re pretty right, I put my hand up as enjoying that article but only because it was a reflection about how so many people are now seeing this situation. It was relatable. For better or worse, fact or media beat up, right or wrong that is really how lots of people, including many Melbourne supporters, are now feeling about where this all sits. I agree it’s not right and it’s probably pure media beat up where it sits right now, it’s just amazing how much legs this thing has got off of nothing but media reports that could be complete [censored]. How the hell can you take your own club to court if you’re on a long contract you signed, just because you’ve changed your mind and want to cut and run when the going gets tough. The contract has to stand for something.

I think we can all agree our game style and some coaching has been less than inspiring, and if this is indeed the issue Trac is fighting against then he has the club's best interest at heart and I tend to agree with him, as much as I think Goody is a nice guy that's not always what we need. If this is indeed the issue, I side with Trac, as uncomfortable as it might be for the team to admit he probably has a point. Trac probably doesn't want to keep playing boring footy and to be honest we don't want to keep seeing it. Seems like a bit of a brat way to go about things though, we can't possibly know what the actual issue is here and honestly Trac seems like he's being very selfish but perhaps he is just taking a stand against the failed direction and tactics that the club has been taking which has led us, to be honest, nowhere really, when I think we can all agree we should have been a lot better since 2021 than we have been in a lot of ways. Probably not the best way to go about it though and if he's going to be a [censored] then that can't win the day either. Something ain't right, and I bet no one knows what that is yet. All will be revealed in time.

Yeah our issue midfield now big time. Would be nice to have a Waterman or Lynch but not at great cost. We need our midfield back up and humming it has let us down big time.

I don’t think Petracca is going anywhere, I’d be more worried if he plays football again at all not if he wants to go anywhere else. Mental health, trauma, the whole bit. I think everyone has made it very clear he isn’t going anywhere else so we just need to hope he can get back to playing at all.

I don’t think we tried particularly hard, nor did we need to for any reason at all. Who cares about pride, absolute dead rubber for us apart from a better draft pick by losing which is actually a good thing. Good result I say, no need to put people on the line and risk injury. This was part of 2025 preparation and the boys did well. Bravo, now am excited about 2025 nothing about this game mattered apart from losing gracefully and injury free for us. Crappy attitude?
