  1. Enjoy the win mate.
  2. I swear it was just drool.
  3. I woke up all warm and fuzzy. Seriously in love with my football team today. Well done boys.
  4. Always had a soft spot for [censored]-bullet. I think his biggest progression this year is in lowering his eyes - always looking for a target inside-50 and has been pretty solid in that regard. Congrats on 100 games. Can easily see him wracking up another 100.
  5. I will put my hand up as one one of those who had concerns when Pert came on board, based on his history at Collingwood. Now completely sold. Appreciate his candidness and application. Love when he says 'us' and 'we', and that he has a football playing background.
  6. Brilliant interview. Thanks.
  7. Oh. Tuesday podcast. Apologies.
  8. Soft-ball. I'm curious if Pert expects some loss-sharing mechanism to be applied by the AFL for the 2021season?

    Yes
  10. Are you from Ireland @Pennant St Dee?
  11. If I was an AFL recruiter I would be looking to hurling as well as Gaelic football. There's something about the sport which translates in my mind. A variety of skills, fearlessness, 360 vision, running power, and catching. I tried joining a hurling team in Australia, but outside of a brief stint in Bondi there wasn't much on offer.
  12. Indeed. As far as I know one of the greatest to play the sport, mirroring W, Carey in the AFL.
  13. Then encountered the hurling team in Amsterdam across the way from where I played padel (google it for those not in the know, seriously) and the local AFL team trained, but wasn't keen for broken fingers while I had a livelihood as a writer.
  14. Slightly off topic, but I fondly recall landing in Dublin in 2003 en route to Wexford amid a serious hurling final, where a bloke by the name of Carey dominated. Fell in love with the game on the spot - and brought some hurls (the Wexford term) and a slither home - believing that hurling was somehow more closely related to AFL than Gaelic footy . . .
  15. So many lawyers on Demonland, naturally. What do yee say? Do we have a procedural basis for appeal?
  16. Respect from an official one-time (and probably deserved two-time) Demonland Crystal Ball winner. Kudos.
  17. Swimming and writs.
  18. We should get Sam Collins to the club with a special 'signing on' bonus . . .
  19. I'm always staggered when humans see completely different things on video footage, and are adamant that their view is the correct one, but it happens a lot. Based on that alone though, the jury can't realistically deliberate with certainty that it either was the neck or jaw. I have a feeling though that the question will be mostly redundant in the end.
  20. Surely the onus is on the prosecution to call Collins to testify that contact was made to the neck? And presumably they didn't call him for a reason. Only two people know exactly where contact was made, and Viney has said it was to the jaw. Without conflicting evidence, surely that has to be taken in good faith?
  21. We need a Jack Viney made me (almost) die thread.
  22. I'm usually on the conservative side when it comes to MRO and penalties, there's a lot we need to stamp out in the game. Not much in this though. Should be risk related. I'd rather someone wrestling with me put an elbow into me (would it be different if Viney held Collins' head down by his hand?) than took a wild swing with the pointy end. Will be back by finals at any rate. Whatever.

So Gosch's will be unavailable to us smack-bang in the middle of finals? Is that an issue?
  24. I didn't dig it up dude. Was right there front and centre when I typed in 'Demonland' into the Google machine .

I don't want out you or profession EO, but have you ever dealt with anything like this before? We've stepped up to most challenges this year and have spent most of it on a riding high narrative. I have no emotion for any of these matches anymore - not sure how you would get the players up. Who would have thought that being on top of the ladder is so boring.
