Goal Kicking - Bring back the fatties
Geelong does this. But their deepest forward is a winger

Goal Kicking - Bring back the fatties
I think the next item on the agenda should be fatter umpires. I donโt care that they can run 20 km near world record pace. Just give me somebody that can make an accurate decision, has some sort of common sense, and perhaps they can bounce the ball okay as well. Sorry for the hijack.

Goal Kicking - Bring back the fatties
There is definitely not enough players with nicknames such as fridge (truck, train, moving violation etc).

Goal Kicking - Bring back the fatties
Would fans like Fritter more if he was a bit fatter?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Tom Morris shouldnโt even be employed in the media. Just rumour and innuendo making something out of nothing.

NON-MFC: Round 08
I got a laugh out of first crack Tonight โ King talking about Daicos wandering forward to free up space. Then he went on to question why teams with Dominant Ruckman donโt do this more often? Iโve been wondering this for years. I used to coach it 40 years ago. And I was taught by relatives that used it in the 40s and 50s.in state games Worked then, And would probably work now If somebody gave It a try

They are a bit like that broken clock that is still right twice a day.

NON-MFC: Round 08
As I said earlier, we were ahead of the curve. Hopefully, we have moved on from this experiment.

NON-MFC: Round 08
Looks like theyโll need to kick 10 goals in the last quarter if they want to win

NON-MFC: Round 08
Part of their 25 year plan.

NON-MFC: Round 08
Shai didnโt like that contact much๐

NON-MFC: Round 08
Looks like we are just trendsetters. Seems like every game I look at in the last two weeks, every sideis one goal each in the first quarterโฆ Eight goals each for the game. Hopefully, we donโt go back to that.

NON-MFC: Round 08
Like Owens Wanganeenโ Milera is not bad either.

NON-MFC: Round 08
That was a game that shouldโve been hidden and not talked about, ever. Commentary is hitting a new low. There doesnโt appear to be anybody in the booth that knows any of the rules. There was always somebody in the commentary box with no idea, but usually they would be corrected by somebody. Now there is not one single person with any idea whatsoever. On either channel!

TRAINING: Thursday 1st May 2025
Maybe we are also representing Tassie this weekend as well? They might be trying to get it to count as two games?

Was there a televised match of the school/under 18 teams?

Next Generation
So we will either have Max until George is ready - another 10 years or more; get hit by another rainbow; recruit; invest in cloning research.

Next Generation
Both Hale and McEvoy were top 10 draft picks and are seriously underrated. Both about 200cm/105kg. Nankervis is very similar. All were specially recruited

Yes. We seem to get hit in the [censored] with rainbows ๐ regularly

Interesting that we have mentioned Xerri regarding developing rucks. I remember watching him as a young player, and not being very impressed with his positioning, intent or skills. However, after 4-5 years of development with Goldstein and TC, he is a much more accomplished player. He is now 26 of course. And his skills are still a bit ๐คฎ The other factor to take into account is how it affects the defence of the opposition. Shorter defenders often overreact to tall players in space. This helps to provide leading lanes. Itโs also good for a bigger players to learn to legally block in marking contests โ something that we havenโt been doing recently, but JVR benefited from this week.
