We currently have one of the best clearance rucks the game has seen. Max can literally put the ball anywhere in the square. He doesn’t get beaten. The three midfielders should be playing as loose as possible. Starting maybe 10 m behind him and running forward at different angles to give Max three different hit to possibilities. This method is very difficult to defend against. By playing a congested midfield, we are playing into the oppositions hands and curtailing what should be a massive advantage.
