  1. Bill Laurie played another good game in the VFL last night. As always. Dropped after not showing anything in his 10 minutes on ground after being sub last week. Conditions would’ve probably suited him tomorrow. Oh well. Jeff needs to pick up another few bags of 5 goals in the VFL before he’ll be trusted. Looks like it’s just because he can’t play as the second ruck? He probably could. He certainly couldn’t do any worse than AJ in the centre bounce. Surely pressure players should be small and mobile and able to tackle, and, well, pressure.
  2. Might be a decent day for pack crashing. Nobody really expects you to hold them in the wet. Even better if we have some crumbers front and centre. Better still if Darcy Moore wears a knee in the kidneys.
  3. I take it from this that you don’t have any bustle in your life Here is hoping you can find some bustle. And if you see Lionel, say g’day.
  4. No, [censored] it. If teams can’t announce their…teams(?) the Sunday before the next game, then I don’t wanna know. And while they’re at it, just make it like fantasy footy and have a maximum number of changes each week. That might sort them out.
  5. Occasionally we would have training where I would not let the players go in until they hit the post. Probably illegal now.
  6. Must admit that Brisbane‘s last quarter reminder me of us last week. Also Casey last night did the same thing. As soon as there is any pressure – whether that’s in the first quarter or the last, players tend to try to all win it themselves, and regress to taking low percentage shots on goal. Several times last night Casey players ran to the front of the square only to have the ball bombed over the top of them. Midfielders and forwards need to be made to kick it there. It’s much harder to miss from in front of the square.
  7. Seriously 6–16 Pfft…. Amateurs.
  8. Damn, I was going to watch that one too. But I was flicking through and found a really interesting episode of escape to the country…
  9. Where is the 🤦 when you need it?
  10. No, but some of the frees from last night could make a good start for a AFL comedy umpire video.
  11. Well, we do live in an age of “alternative facts”.
  12. Close. The pies tonight had 33 to 17 for Casey. And yes, that thread was melting!
  13. Well, it was either one or the other? Or maybe sometimes that is the big big sound?
  14. Hopefully not. I think that Bill could be a good AFL level player if he was given a reasonable go at it Unfortunately, for us, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was at another club.
  15. Another game that should have been won by 10goals. TC was costing us in the last quarter
  16. Clear ruck infringement against Cox not paid. Surprised that cross got paid the goal.
  17. I want the umpire to explain how that was a free kick against Campbell. After the game, please
  18. Obvious block to Verrall against Cox. Commentators have no idea – they wouldn’t know where their [censored] is.
  19. Letterbox still stinks to high heaven 💩
  20. Head hitting the ground is considered as part of the tackle. So I can’t see how a bump could be different.
  21. Sheesh. Geelong is like an absolute opportunistic disease Like a pox
  22. Don’t think Collingwood’s gonna get there.
  23. GC must not touch cats players Dangerfield can shove GC players as much as he likes.
  24. Somewhere in the world, it’s 4 pm.
