I heard a caller on SEN this morning suggest this trade: - GWS gets their man Daisy - Collingwood gets Scully - Melbourne get Malthouse + 2 picks from GWS It would never, ever happen but would could you stand seeing Scully in the filth for Malthouse and 2 compo picks in our camp?
-
Wish List: Captain: Jack Trengove Coach: Mick Malthouse Leadership Group: Brent Moloney, Jack Grimes, Jared Rivers, Nathan Jones Trade Out/Delist: Bate, Morton, Campbell, Warnock Trade In: Jesse White for Morton Rookie Spot: Fev
-
I think they should start fresh with a new coach, and a new leadership group and plan to have them both for 5 years. Jack Grimes is my vote.
-
I would take him
-
OK, So what we would be possibly looking to trade: - Morton - Warnock - Bate - Bartram - Sylvia (if he wants out) What we need: - Leadership - FF - Top Class Midfielder Apparently the saints will go pretty hard after Sylvia as he would compliment their team very well with another option up forward, so do we want from them? Goddard - would have to give alot more then sylvia, but maybbe throw in Warnock and Davey and then they have have the outside pace, tall defender and another option up forward. I would take that trade and give him the captaincy. Armitage and Archer/Lynch/Stanley for Sylvia - would we want that? Sydney would also like sylvia, so what do we want? Sam Reid - would we do a straight swap? Hannebery? Jack? Jesse White + a mid for Sylvia? Can we get anything from South Australia? Thompson? Dangerfield? Boak?

Colin Sylvia will play tomorrow. He will be a late inclusion for Bate, Gys or Scully.

Apparently MFC Stand for Nothing
GawnWithTheWind replied to Demon SeaMan's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think there are a few young men at the Melbourne Football Club that have that desire and determination to change the current culture at the club. They give a [censored] about what is happening at the club and want to do something about it. Jack Trengove James Frawley Luke Tapscott Jack Grimes Jeremy Howe Ricky Petterd Jordie McKenzie I think they will stand and lead through these dark times, and be the reason for the resurgence. Who would complain with a leadership group of: Captain: Jack Trengove Vice 1: Jack Grimes Vice 2: Brent Moloney Deputy Vice 1: James Frawley Deputy Vice 2: Jordie McKenzie -
Hang your heads in shame MFC players..

So who would be in our frame? Senior Coaches: - Malthouse has a clause in his contract to get out, so enough money could get him to Melbourne? - Roos said he doesn't want to coach anymore. - Neil Craig probably won't coach anywhere else, not sure if he would be the right fit anyway. - Rocket not much better then bailey - Bomber Thompson enough money could get him away from his backseat driving at essendon? - Choco nope - Leigh Matthews I personally think he wants the gig, not sure if he would have the drive that is needed, but is an option. - Al Clarkson Doubt we will get him, but would take him Assistants: - Alan Richardson (Carl) - Gavin Brown (Carl) - Mark Neeld (Coll) - Scott Watters (Coll) - Brendan McCartney (Ess) - Brenton Sanderson (Geel) Anyone else?

But really... In: Scully, Bartram, MacDonald, Davey Out: Bate, Strauss/Nicholson, Maric, Dunn
-
In: Heart and Desire Out: Talk and Excuses

After yesterdays loss, Bailey will be gone.. If not this week, it will be in five weeks time. I have been a fan of him, but its not working and we will cut our losses. That solves one problem, but I believe a leader from outside will help us progress into a decent team. Like Judd did for the blues, who can we get into our club? In that age bracket of 24 - 28ish-29? I would be throwing big money at one of these guys and trying to get them into our club for the leadership and give our younger mids someone to build around and learn from. 1. J.Bartel 2. S.Pendlebury 3. S.Mitchell 4. B.Goddard 5. M.Boyd 6. B.Sewell 7. M.Priddis 8. R.OKeefe Any other ideas?
-
Nope, It's time for a change, now. Dean Bailey cannot get anymore out of this list, we gave him a shot and he couldn't provide... We need to cut our losses. Give the rest of the year to one of our assistants, and put it out there we want the best coach available. The club has an ok list and a decent coach with a different game plan will want a shot at the revival. Its time. Thanks for trying Dean.

I know there are 1000 of these threads but I couldn't find one for me to post in, so I created another. Demonland has become quite depressing and boring so what do you think would our lineup be with everyone fit and firing for round 1, 2012? FB: Nicholson - Frawley - Garland HB: Grimes - Rivers - Tapscott C: J-Tren - Scully - Davey HF: Sylvia - Watts - Howe FF: Petterd - Green - Jurrah R: Jamar - Moloney - McKenzie I: Jones - Gysberts - Martin S: Bail E: Wonna - Gawn - MacDonald

Honestly, I don't understand the inclusions of Bate and Dunn. Dunn may provide something but Bate has been tried and tried and gives us nothing. We could be too top heavy now and really lack pace against a quicker hawks.. B: James Strauss, James Frawley, Daniel Nicholson HB: Colin Garland, Jared Rivers, Nathan Jones C: Jack Trengove, Colin Sylvia, Lynden Dunn HF: Ricky Petterd, Liam Jurrah, Luke Tapscott F: Brad Green, Jack Watts, Addam Maric FOLL: Mark Jamar, Brent Moloney, Jordie McKenzie I/C: Jordie Gysberts, Matthew Bate, Stefan Martin, Jeremy Howe EMG: Mattew Warnock, Max Gawn, Jamie Bennell. IN: Matthew Bate, Lynden Dunn OUT: Cale Morton (omitted), Tom Scully (knee) melbournefc.com.au Who will be sub? Gysberts?
-
Ok, I am a believer that Tom will stay and be great for this club. But, (correct me if im wrong) Why would it only take one week directly after this year for Tom and his manager to make up their minds to where he is playing football for the next 5 years? Surely if they are not talking about it for the whole year, they would give him longer then a week to make a career defining move? And if he doesn't need that much time, couldn't he think about it over the next 2 weeks and get on with his job? A lot of signs point to GWS
-
Hahahaha Kennedy for Morton and bate... You have to be kidding.. Try Sylvia and trenners and we may get him from the weagles
-
How did Davey and Jetta go? Get through the game ok?
-
Please tell me your joking?

Good ground work Cale

I was the first to knock Martin 12 months ago.. Boy, has he proved me wrong
-
This isn't over folks.. Melbourne need to wake up
-
How good has Petterd been tonight! I like him playing up the ground a bit more, then resting deep
