Some key takeaways: Hannan - 8 possessions - 4 score involvements - great 8 poss game Oliver - the most pressure acts for Dees and 2nd most on ground. Trac - had a good night let down by some poor decision making - but showed maturity - worth more than anything. OMAC - solid as a rock and all we need him to be. Viney - you can questions lots of things about him but never his competitive spirit. Him and Max HUGE Lots to like, started at selection, Kicked 10 plus goals and looked at times like a really good side. Confidence will be the biggest thing we take out of that.

People have a set against Pert for some reason.. the y way he finsihed at teh Pies probably teh main reason. Facts are he was a very successful CEO at teh biggest club in Australia, and he has haelped reduce debt, managed to attract sponsors, been largely head down bottom up approach. If you think Pert is teh problem then your head is in teh sand, teh problem comes from teh coached box. thast teh place you look first.

Its time to try a couple things.. even if its just a little refresh.. to make it look like teh coaches are seeing it like us.

Im going through the 12 steps of a Demon supporter. Today im at "who cares" All you get from this club is talk talk talk for 18 months.. untill there is a pattern of change i just dont care because they will keep letting us down. So who do you blame for Goodwin's appointment? Yep Neeld was bust, the list he had was arguably teh worst in history, and he never got going. Bailey let the players rule the roost, blame others inside teh club. Ox's ramblings do nothing to help teh club, entitled to his oponion, and he is hurting like all of us, but thats sort of response hurts teh club even more, rational discussion on what the problem is will be far more beneficial. Time to move on from teh Lyon bashing for appointing Neeld.. its along tiome ago.. i dont see Carlton people bashing Kernahan for sacking Ratten and appointing Malthouse..

Sadly we would have to think about it.. I love Jack, he is a goer and he has been a captain in more of our successful times than any other recently. He is a Melbourne man through and through and you only have to look at out 2 finals wins just how hard, important and central he was to those wins, coming off a bad year of injury, i think people forget that. He is suffering at the moment because others are not doing their job properly, and others are suffering because Jack isnt doing his job properly, its a whirlpool of mediocrity at the moment. But who else gets us into teh first round? Does he even get us into teh first round.. maybe end of first round.. its a deep problem when you trade away a commodity like a first round pick then completely stuff the season up and potentially give away teh first pick. Disaster and teh most Melbourne thing to do. Something will have to change, names will be offered im sure.. its going to get nasty i reckon.

Absolutely has to be teh first thing we do.. how we get them is the question.. at what cost.. financially and also, it will tear the list apart which isnt a bad thing, but Jones will retire and possibly a Brayshaw might go.. So it comes down to who? the only 3 worth it are : Daniher - FA / Cameron FA / - Casboult UFA / highly unlikely we would get these guys. Daniher wants out of Victoria and Cameron wont leave GWS. Casboult is not the answer.. so who? We have to look to WAFL / SANFL / VFL.. there are a couple of KPF that will go first round in draft.. but you need a first round pick to get them.. Riley Thilthorpe - SA / Jackson Callow TAS / Kaine Baldwin SA All 3 rated top 20 prospects. We wont get a look at any of them.

I agree change it up, Oliver and Viney are competitors.. Rest Jack in the fwd pocket, put Clayton down fwd.. they look like they have the weight of the world on their shoulders.. give them a circuit breaker.. i love Jacks Competitiveness... but it cant come at the risk of repeat turnovers. Same with Clayton.

Its just a mess. One big wasteful, unfulfilled mess. Goodwin is simply our of his depth.. and he is stubborn and pig headed. He wants a small fwd line.. but Melksham, Hannan, Trac et al are not small, its hardly a mosquito fleet.. They are mobile marking HFFs.. they come into play when the ball is being delivered to them.. on a lead at about 5-70m out.. which opens the fwd line allowing Tom or bigger fwd to lead into space.. instead the ball goes in so badly that they are not utilised. I just cant believe the attitude from the FD on this stuff. i agree with some of what Ox says, but i dont think irrelevant is it.. we have owned the media landscape since Sunday 6pm.. irrelevant clubs dont do that.

St Kilda employ a good fwd to help thier forward structure.. oook what happens... Brad Miller is in charge of fwd line at GWS.. really good converting side.. just 2 examples.. who doe sthat for us.. again.. another example of the clubs unprofessional approach to things.

Garry is spot on and is talking on behalf of most supporters i reckon. I have had a gutful of this clubs ability to disappoint. Last year i thought it was worrying but was prepared to say injuries and one of those years.. how silly was i. 2018 was as close as qwe will get to success.. at least for teh next 5-10 years because unbelivebaly we need to turn our list over again. we need to recruit some skill. Langdon now in hindsight is a bust, he simply cant kick, is a shocking handball. Great runner, but whats teh point of that.. Tomlinson has not one great asset. In fact yesterday he was horrible.. Im a Hunt fan but he was timid yesterday (which he isnt at all) and he cant kick. I am Jack Vineys biggest fan, i love his competitive b=nature, but facts are he cant kick. Oliver is a jet, but is putting players in difficult spots with his gung ho handball approach and i noticed yesterday is often behind his opponent, to me thats complacency. Angus can kick but he has no care on his disposal.. never looks like he knows where its going. James Harmes is a good kick of teh footy, but what is his role in teh side at the moment? Tom Mc has regressed, Salem has Regressed, Hibbo has regressed (although thought he was great yesterday) Smith is not a natural footballer.. so why would you have him in the backline.. put him forward and tell him to go for teh ball.. Lever is a bust like no other recent trade.. horrible. Melksham is a selfish jerk who is getting away with murder at the moment. Goodwin says they wanta small fwd line.. well he has mental midgets playing up there so he has achieved that. I could go ona nd on.. but im at tipping point in terms of frustratuion. How can Goodwin sit there every week now for a seasona nd a half saying our "connection" going fwd is no good and not fix it. Dont recruit guys that cant kick for starters. The season is a write off. I would now get games into Swallow and Jordan and Bennell.. something ahs to change. Also how can 6 coaches sit in teh box yesterday and not change a dame thing at half time.. Out of their depth and completely devoid of plans.. Like all of us, i will front up next week and hope things b=are better, but we sat through some awful times recently, but at least then our excuse was that we had about 2 good players and a shocking list.. we have some reak quality players and they are being wasted and it kills me.

Sadly reading the play is only ok if you can mark it and kick it.. he cant do any at the moment.. Our game plan doesnt help him.. we zone and guard space, which is fine if teh pressure comes from teh midfield and fwd line.. but we turn it over so much between wing and deep forward, teh ball comes out and the opposition has players running everywhere and has time to hit a player on the lead.. its actually mind numbingly stupid tha this is our game plan with teh team we have.

we are 17th on the ladder and no first round draft pick. This club kills me.

Clayton had a bad game, horrible actually, last week he was one of our best, against Carlton probably our best.. Clarry is teh type of player thatr when it works its brilliant and it works more than often, when it doesn't, people bag him for being lazy and not kicking it enough.. which there is some truth to but dropping him after a poor game is peak hysteria in my opinion. I will back him in to bounce back.

So whats next.. we will finish bottom 4 and wont have a pick until teh 2nd round.. unacceptable that you trade a commodity like that away and then play so badly that the one thing you can hang your hat on is that we get a good look at a quality pick.. and this years crop is really strong.. Soooo.. what do we do.. i truly believe the Lever trade has been a shocking bust.. but thats history.. so what stock do we have to trade? ill go first and all suggestions positive and negative are welcome.
