Careful what you wish for, GW... you might just get it! 😂 Actually you'd love my mate, he does magic tricks and you'd both chatter on endlessly. New year resolution to intro you...! Although every Dees game that he has attended, we've lost... and he is a non-practising Bombers fan...

The No T$ No B$ Thread
Two friends and I decided to do a road trip along the Silo Art Trail in Vic as a final hurrah prior to my move to Sydney a few years ago. One fateful night, out near Lake Tyrell, my mate and I left our other mate (who sleeps early and like the dead) behind to go see an abandoned Volkswagon camper van which apparently looks like it floats in a sea of stars reflected in the salt lake. On the drive over we talked ghost stories and horror movies. We arrived at the lake park, whose entrance was lit up in eerie red. A sign directed us to drive to the look out via the sand dunes. We drove blithely on but a little on edge, as we realised the path through the sand was marked by... hazardous waste containers? We made our way through the maze, joking how it could be a serial killer's lair, onwards to the camper van. Unlike the photos on google, it was burnt out and had creepy posters of white faces with bloody tears running down, looming out of the dark. In our fear we reversed, picked a new path through the maze of waste containers marked with warning symbols and skulls. After a minute or two of haphazard driving we stopped and burst into laughter at ourselves for being so easily frightened. But we forgot the sand dunes, and discovered shortly after that we were bogged... we gathered our courage to open the car doors and venture into the pitch black, no signal on our mobiles, and dig ourselves out. Then we saw headlights coming... Turned out to be a delightful young man who works in marketing and camps with his rescue greyhound, rather than a serial killer 😂 He tried to help us out but after a while it became apparent daylight and maybe a professional tow truck was needed. Our new mate took us back to town and stayed overnight in the spare room of our Airbnb as our thanks 😊 (but to the surprise of our other friend who woke in the morning!)

The two Christians have patent leather shoes on. Even with a polishing Clarry's shoes would not show up like that... he just needs some fashion advice!

"We aren't great at any phase of the game"
So from that ABC kicking article in 2023 (note it was drawing on the last three seasons, not 2024), our kicking efficiency was roughly the same as the Swans but the key difference was the Swans retention per kick was quite high (and we did not generally retain the ball...). Interesting! We can only improve upwards, at least! That being said, retention is not the be all and end all, when you look at some of the high retention teams eg Essendon. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-01/afl-what-makes-a-good-kick-in-2023/102420562

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 9th December 2024
Thanks to all the track watchers for their reports today and earlier this preseason! From far off Sydney, you've all had me singing in anticipation (much to my coworkers' distress). A taster of said singing (with apologies to Andy Williams...) 🎶🎵🏉🎄🏉🎵🎶 It's the most wonderful time of the year With the draft kids a tackling And everyone telling you "Clarry and Trac are now here" It's the most wonderful time of the year It's the hap-happiest pre-season of all With those houses trained down And happy meetings where players hunt for the ball It's the hap-happiest pre-season of all 🎶🎵🏉🎄🏉🎵🎶

Medication itself is not a silver bullet. Structure, exercise, figuring out works best for themselves any day of the week, support network (both formal and informal)... There are over 200 genetic markers for ADHD and each person has a different mixture, nevermind the environmental factors, the experience of societal stigma, and how symptoms can change across a person's lifetime (and also affected by lack of sleep, hydration, diet, stress etc). What works one day, one month, one year may not work the next. It's not to say that a person with ADHD does not have personal responsibility and accountability, just that even in good scenarios it can be a handful. It's no surprise that a lot of the issues about and surrounding Clarry correspond to the time he gets his first significant injury (and the loss of structure and routine that comes from that). (Using your post to further the convo Bing181. Thanks for posting on this topic!)

No, isn't it Jefferson?! 😂- 2024 AFL Grand Final
Well I've seen a few wearing the red and white today in Sydney. Also someone with a Swans scarf and a Lions guernsey! Lots of pubs in my area advertising specials for the GF, so it'll likely be quite rowdy this afternoon.- 2024 AFL Grand Final
