(1) As a son and a parent, I am not surprised that his mum got him to come home. Unless there is a blow-up, the parent controls well into the off-spring's 20's. (2) Grundy covered admirably, when Gawn was down mid-season. We traded him on for a pick and salary relief. I am unsure that we lost from his presence in 2023. (3) True but the young grow into the new roles when given the chance. There is still a long way to go. (4) This was in 2022 without a resurgence.

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement

I had a tear (or more) in my eye when I read his letter. He is a man who will not lack friends to respect him. All the best, Angus! -

"How many club forums start with a warning to not discuss 40% of what’s going on? It’s unheard of," Concerning 2 out of 46 players. We still get an elephant stamp for maturity if we keep focus working towards the new seson. May brawling last year and that's about it. -
Nah, we need to turn over the list to find players better than depth players. Laurie and Woewodin are good to go.

2023 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty
redandbluemakepurple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has Petty ever shown or expressed any motivation to go to Adelaide except perhaps the usual much, much money? -
Nobody jumps out except English who will be too expensive. I would prefer draft picks. Would like replacements for May or a big forward but no-one impressive youngsters.

Max & Jack to Lead Again in 2024
redandbluemakepurple replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
What a modern club does, is to get the consultants in to test all the players for leadership potential. The older players might not talk to them so we probably need a five year plan. They will grow into the role if their body holds out. Max is very mature and eats responsibility. Jack hasn't had that media presence to judge. -

When were Brown and TMac give an extension? At the end of 2022, they had just turned thirty.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 26th January, 2024

It is interesting that you have espoused the theory of certain peevish coaches that fatique causes injury. They want more interchanges and/or shorter quarters. My anecdotal recollection is that ACL injuries happens in no particular quarter. Anyone out there sitting on a million dollar report? -

Any watcher got an opinion on Tom McDonald's current speed off the mark? -
Laurie Nash, one of my all-time favourites, CHF at the towering height of 5' 9" kicked 21 goals in a state match against Tasmania from CHF. Said that he saw the best ever footballer each time he shaved. A "forceful" fast bowler, he was known as the Tasmanian Wildman. 2 test for 10 wickets at 12. The ACBC threatened the English with him during Bodyline although the Australian captain had already said that he wouldn't play with him. What a guy!!

My recollection is that when he went on his long lead and was spoiled, he mainly got the ball🤔 -

Looking at the main pic on the MFC site, Salem is carrying an extra 3 - 4 kgs and Spargo is carrying 4 - 5 kgs. But now we will never know :(
