POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
It's like many times we do 90% of the things right even at elite level but that 10% we are missing, like fwd connection or kicking skills, makes us a subpar team. We won't be anywhere near the top 8 until that 10% gap is erased.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Rivers, Langford, Picket and JV. Move Petracca to 90% time at HF. Oliver can spend the rest of the season at Casey.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Poor JV know his limitations but his effort and tackling are second to none. On the other hand Petracca and Oliver...

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
We can do everything right during a game, a season. But if we keep kicking like this we will be nothing but a bottom 6 team.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
Missed 2 certain goals, and now a goal against in less than a minute.

Time to go Goody?
Maybe the youngsters know something we don't and have hope for the future. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Time to go Goody?
And if my grandma had wheels, she would be a bicycle. The reality is we have been going down for the last 2 seasons.

Time to go Goody?
I agree it's not just Goodwin fault but usually the head coach is the first one to be axed. We still need more change than just the HC.
-
Time to go Goody?
Even if he finishes this season? In any case it may be offset by the amount of memberships we could potentially lose if Goodwin continues. We won't reach 60k this year. Depending on how badly they finish the season and if Goodwin is confirmed for next year... We are danger of not reaching 50k.

Time to go Goody?
We can do some serious case studies. What's happened to Fritsch? What's happened to JVR?

Time to go Goody?
Looks like we may have competition. I heard Carlton is also considering bringing Barrel to the fold. We better move quickly before Carlton takes away the coach or any other FD staff that we may need/want.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
He should be playing more VFL next year, similar to JB. Just a "depth" player. Bowey and McVee are the future in our HB.

Wildcard Weekend
NBA play-in style could work. 7v8 9v10 Winner of 7v8 plays against the 6th seeded team Loser of 7v8 plays against the Winner of 9v10 to decide the team playing against the 5th seeded team.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Rivers full time midfielder? I believe Scott was in danger had he not won the 2022 premiership. Again, 10 years is a long time in footy.
-
Time to go Goody?
I am afraid a steep drop of memberships is coming then. I personally won't stop my support to the club, but based on what I can see here and social media ... many will.

Rivers full time midfielder?

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Play JV 80% forward.

Time to go Goody?
Have we been consistent under Goodwin? If you really dissect his tenure, it really feels like a roller coaster of highs and lows. Fun ride not gonna lie.

Time to go Goody?
What should have happened after 2023. One year extension of Simon's contract until end of 2025. Already prepared the transition plan for Yze to take over in 2026. 2025 Simon would be coaching as a 'caretaker' with Yze behind the 4 walls preparing his vision of MFC 2.0 post 2021 premiership. One can daydream.

Time to go Goody?
First thing we lost was Yze. That's true. It's also true he didn't deserve, IMO, the 2 year extension before the 2023 finals. Should've let his final contract year in 2024 run and then decide if you offer him a new contract.

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Isn't he paid 1.2 million at least?
-
Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
But we can't carry Oliver and JV in the midfield for 90% of the game. Both butcher the ball. Unless Viney can have some cameos in the forward half, more as a defensive forward.

Training Ground?
Richmond announcing redevelopment of Punt Road. When are we doing anything? It will be very disappointing if there are no real news/updates about Caulfield by end of the year.
-
Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Let's see from the three amigos in the mid field: > JV won't be traded ever, heart and soul of the club. > Oliver not easy to find a spot for him outside of inside midfield. So, not very flexible magnets wise. Also, probably as low trade value as JV. > Petracca can play forward, so he offers more flexibility to our list. You'd think the club would rather keep him and he is ahead of the two mentioned above. However, he is definitely the one that has the most trade value. And we may not need to pay any of his salary if he's traded (unlike with Oliver). It'll be a coin toss between Oliver and Petracca. I hope whoever stays if fully committed to the coming years of rebuilding on the fly.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast
The XL, Langford and Kozzy have high volume disposal? It will be interesting to see if they can keep the higher efficiency as their volume of leather increases.
