I also feel he is not suited to the current trend of more dynamic and athletic defenders. There is less one-one contested battles and more all around covering space, which May is not capable of doing.

Maybe what you should do is take it with the context. A good HB should be above 80% efficiency. A good inside mid should be above 60% Different expectations for different positions. It's like basketball, you don't expect a Center to have a high 3pt % but you do expect him to have a high on the rim efficiency.

And the kick had pace, which is another issue for some of our ball handlers.

What is wrong with disposal efficiency? I think that stat, for the most part,shows how skilled you are.

To me it comes down to execution. In the last 2 minutes you could count 2 inside 50 that other teams probably would score from. Too many players either panic or take the wrong decision. A younger list that has no scars from 2022 and 2023 should help.
