No, this creates more issues and the press piling up because it's unfair. What should happen is, the AFL brings the concept of the super max contract. See the NBA for example, they have different tiers of contracts depending on the level of the player. This ensures no team can manufacture a situation where said player can take unders just to help their destination club to accommodate their salary. And salary caps should be made public.
