Honest question... Why are there so many Freo supporters in Sydney? Freo doesn't strike me as a big club, I would imagine their home base supporters travel well? Surely most WA people living in the eastern coast are West Coast supporters.

The risk is missing on young talent that could hurts us for many years. It'll be hard to draft talent for at least 3 or 4 years,once Tasmania is in. Last chance is 2025.

The person reporting may be just gas lighting or fabricating the story. I have a lot of contempt to most journos these days, I will believe it when it comes from the club or player.

We do have a healthy supporter base from a membership number points of view. I am sure we can crack 75k+ every year if the team is in contention. Add to that the fact that our 2018 finals run at home demonstrates that we can draw a good crowd. We just missed the 2021 run. Although our turn out during the 2022 and 2023 finals should've been better.

To be fair, those games were preceded by our most insipid and uninspired performances against Freo and Bulldogs. It was always going to be hard to appeal for a huge crowd, specially when finals were all but gone.

What about my outrageous idea of trading him at the end of season 2021? To force a deal with WC. As mentioned beforehand there were huge red flags that he was departing anyway. Thanks for the premiership, you may go home now. It would've been easier to leverage his last year under contract.
