Training Ground?
These figures look politically skewed!! Labor's strongholds ... perhaps the MFC is too 'posh' for the state govt

Membership Tally 2022
Here's hoping we can sustain 65k plus members for next season

2023 Free Agents
I still don't understand why McKay wants to be remain under the shadow of Curnow? It's clear Curnow is the fan favourite. Assuming of course that Curnow stays healthy. I am also thinking if there is a huge salary cap issue at Carlton in the near future...🤔 (Fingers crossed they become Collingwood ala 2019-2020)

We cannot draft again from WA
So Geelong is just like Sydney, they basically have an academy system

Jumper numbers for season 2023?
This might be a bit off-topic but... How/where do I get a jumper with the number on it? I have been thinking of getting a #13 jumper for quite some time but not sure if the jumpers are sold with the number or not.

2022 Trade Report Card
How on earth St Kilda doesn't get an F?!

Farewell Brodie Grundy
We just don't seem to be a destination club for big KPF... Oh how I wished McKay would be available next year!!

We cannot draft again from WA
NBA - Player driven competition, lots of super teams made by and organised by star players NFL - System/Organisation driven competition, more "equalisation" and mostly good spread of talent around the league. Coaches seem to have more control as well. I know I'd prefer an NFL type competition any day, I just don't like the zero loyalty and money first mentality you can see in the NBA.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
I believe it is mainly a salary dump scenario
-
Farewell Brodie Grundy
Do we know how much are we paying him? I've heard that Collingwood is not paying much, on the other hand it looks like Grundy himself took a pay cut?

We cannot draft again from WA
An NCAA type of competition in Australia? Not sure how feasible that would be

We cannot draft again from WA
What about our footprint in the NT? Is it really that strong as some suggest?
-
We cannot draft again from WA
This should only apply to the top 10 or top 5 picks IMO
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
The writing was on the wall once he 'only' signed for 1 year in 2020. I am confident that if the MFC rated him as the unicorn, surely they would have offered a longer contract extension?
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
I am 13,000 km away from my family, a decision that was tough but made it on my own. I love them and probably even more so than if I was living close to them, I have the best time every chance I get to visit them. People tend to take things for granted, but again that's my own personal experience.

Farewell Luke Jackson
In hindsight, and as ludicrous as it may sound, it now seems that we should have traded him in 2021 after the flag. To me it looks like with or without the 2021 flag, he was going back to WA. His values was the highest post GF 2021... 🤔

We cannot draft again from WA
Min 3 year rookie Contracts with club option for a 2 year extension. This should make this sort of players 'untouchable' for at least 5 years.
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
Then we should scrap the draft and just have an academy system like the EPL! Why bother?!

We cannot draft again from WA
Wasn't there another guy from GWS that is going to Geelong? I remember him.for.that picture so excited when he was drafted by GWS 🤣🤣🤣
-
Farewell Luke Jackson
My contention is, how invested was LJ this season knowing he was gone? Is that fair for us? I guess it wasn't as crazy an idea to bench him in the latter part of the season..

PODCAST: Season Review & Trade Wrap
I would like to discuss the brokenness of the draft system. Many top draft picks barely staying for 2-3 years with the teams that gave them a go. What would you do to make it fairer for struggling clubs? (Not that we are one of them, but we could be in the future) I am filthy about Jackson, especially with all the information that has transpired today.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Tampered competition if you ask me. With the very low power the clubs seem to have over the players, it is unfair that they are permitted all these sort of liberties midway season in which the team was pursuing back to back premierships.

We cannot draft again from WA
One thing is sure, the draft system sucks! Top Draft picks my [censored]!, they are not assets when you can't keep those players for at least 5 years in your team. I'd rather prefer there was a separate draft for each state.
