  1. We’re so back
  2. Surely we’d be looking at a Harry Boyd type dominating at VFL who would want the chance to be on an AFL list? I know being back up to Max Gawn is a tough sell, but at least you’d be bringing in someone with upside who might still be around in a few years once Max retires
  3. Glad to hear we’re targeting another first round pick And even better that it looks like we’re doing it in a way where we retain our future first rounder I’m not against trading our future first, but it could be a valuable pick to target an out of contract player like Callaghan next year
  4. Damn you Cal for ranking Langford so highly Tough to see him falling our pick but you never know given the evenness of this draft I wonder where JT ranks Reid? I’ve been big on Lalor as the next cab of the rank but Reid offers something we have just about never had in the midfield and it looks like he has worked hard to address the (few) deficiencies he has in his game
  5. Could wax and wane fwd/mid with Trac
  6. Would definitely fit the bill if we’re looking for experienced midfield depth I actually really rate Kennedy so wouldn’t mind it at all if he came for a later pick or two
  7. “Hey Finn, I hear you like straight set exits… well, we have plenty of those where we’re from” Get it done Dees 😈
  8. Would definitely ask the question of Riccardi and was disappointed when he re-signed with them Plus it doesn’t hurt that he’s ex Werribee On that note I seriously hope Goody is getting down to their Prelim today, they’ve been such an impressive side this year and have some great footballers (Mannagh and Clohsey to name a couple)
  9. (not serious)
  10. Hearing another well known Norm Smith medallist is soon to announce his retirement before catching up with Michael Voss for a coffee on Lygon Street 👀
  11. Definitely ask the question - but doesn’t seem to have come on as much as expected and doubt the Suns would even entertain anything while he’s contracted and still has upside
  12. Not blaming Cal but what a ridiculous explanation - how can he be part of the NGA then? What incentive is there if he can’t be drafted under it anyway?
  13. I seriously hope we kick up a stink about this The AFL made a whole song and dance about making NGAs worthwhile for clubs and yet in the first instance we can’t draft a player we’ve invested in? What is the point of having NGAs at all if there’s no guarantee these kids can be drafted by their respective clubs?
  14. Furious - on what basis isn’t he eligible?
  15. And despite some (valid) criticism of our high performance team, we’ve been really good when it comes to avoiding and managing soft tissue injuries I’d back them in to get him fit if he came over
  16. Pick 5? No way But would definitely be interested in asking the question as he’s a high quality mid when he can get on the park
  17. Is that a him issue or a Carlton issue though? He’s certainly not the only player whose been plagued by soft tissues at that club He was great for them last year when he was on the park - worth asking the question and doing some due diligence
  18. “While [the review] will identify areas in which we need to get better, we believe it will also highlight many positive elements of our AFL program, and why we should head into next season with well-founded optimism about what we can achieve.”
  19. I like it A future first and a second rounder it is #inLambwetrust
  20. The line about the Shand review potentially revealing good things about the men’s program was an eyebrow raiser
  21. If only Lobb hadn’t have come into form late - we could have gone for the trifecta
  22. Email sent to club members confirm twin reviews taking place in October - an external review of the board and the Shand, Green and Pert review of the men’s program
  23. Jay Clark and Tom Morris have reported that Pert and Green will conduct the review alongside Shand
  24. Disappointed that this isn’t a full external review as initially reported but I do think there are contract and soft cap concerns if we were to make mass changes in our administration (had a fully external review called for this) And at the end of the day it is the FD that is responsible for our on field performance and I’m glad that this will be the primary focus of the review, as for better or worse it is clearly the area that will dictate our performance in 2025 more than any other
  25. I reckon I got more joy watching Higgins kick that goal than I have at just about any Dees game this year 😭
