  1. It’s a shame about Twomey because for a long time I’ve really rated him as a sports journalist who didn’t engage in hyperbole And to be fair he still gets good mail from time to time But he’s clearly moving more and more in to the endless trade and free agency news cycle that dominates the AFL media now I’ll still tune into his draft analysis and back him in when he breaks a news story, but it’s a shame he’s feeding into the vapid media landscape that he used to differentiate from
  2. Langford has future captain written all over him And Lindsay had noted leadership qualities in his draft year Reckon we’re well stocked if Gawn can hold on for a couple more seasons
  3. Do we really know that Daly was the man though? He’s very highly rated, but so was David Noble who also didn’t have coaching experience, and we know how that turned out At the end of the day most of us can only gauge any candidate from the outside looking in, unless they have a track record like Bucks Anyway whether it’s Bucks or an untried assistant, I’d rather someone who wants the job over someone who has to be convinced to join the process
  4. I know people want to know if the AFL listed players are in attendance, but I want to know if anyone has eyes on Buckley? 🤣
  5. Unfortunately North wouldn’t have to trade for Spargo as he’s an UFA
  6. A great contributor in 2021 but was struggling for impact in 22/23 before his Achilles injury derailed his 24 season I think we need to start to move past the Spargo’s of the world for small forwards who can provide defensive pressure whilst also hitting the scoreboard We’ll always need those high half forwards but the best of them manage to snag a few goals while getting upwards of 15 possies a game - something Spargo unfortunately hasn’t done for a while now
  7. From that list alone it’s looking more and more like Bucks Glad to see Montgomery in there though, hadn’t seen his name thrown around in the media yet but seems very highly rated
  8. Mate surely not? For one he’s far younger than those players and would add to our younger core Two he’s actually getting games at the Suns and not on the verge of being delisted And three he’s shown genuine quality as a mid and half back, particularly last year where he was very highly rated Injuries and other players being preferred in those position has seen him have a down year, but he is nowhere near the camp of being a Hunter/Billings selection
  9. The six coaches: Nathan Buckley; Bathan Nuckley; Collingwood’s 2018 GF coach; The 2002 Norm Smith Medallist; One of the three 2003 Brownlow Medallists; and That bloke from On the Couch
  10. Blues now interested in Flanders too Don’t worry Dees fans I’m sure Tim Lamb has another Hunter/Billings trade in the pipeline for us! 🤮
  11. I like Bevo but the Dogs should never have extended him before the end of the year as finals should have been the determinant They’ve lacked a defensive system for years now and it doesn’t look like it’s improved at all this year
  12. Was quite impressed with Chesser when we played West Coast at Marvel Seemed very clean and composed with his disposal, and got a fair bit of the ball in a losing effort Would be great to add some more young midfield depth
  13. It would be great if we could be linked to an established AFL player for a change, but Heath seems like he could be a decent pick up at least 🤷
  14. A different discussion but our social media team is awful Poor attention to detail and often cringe worthy content As a young(er) Demonlander, I’d love them to take a page out of Hawthorn or GWS book The content doesn’t have to be as tongue and cheek as those clubs socials, but content that’s a) accurate and b) allows our players personalities to shine through would go a long way to restore fan engagement with the club
  15. Agreed Flanders is exactly the type of player we need to be going after if he’s gettable Even if there’s only a small chance of him moving clubs we need to be on the front foot and not let other teams jump ahead of us in a queue We’ve been sorely lacking in that regard since 2021
  16. We desperately need more small forwards who can apply pressure while also hitting the scoreboard, so I’m a big yes for going after Rosas
  17. #tooclosetotheplayers?
  18. Guerra looks like be making the right moves early
  19. Ever since I started seeing clips of him in 2024 I was hoping like hell we’d be able to draft him And thank god we did because he’s been everything that was promised and then some I know it’s easy to throw big names out there but he just screams Bontempelli, with some of the ‘having time’ qualities of a Pendlebury Can’t wait to see what he produces in 2026
  20. You could see it coming a mile off I miss being able to believe in this team 😢
  21. You have to wonder how much his poor form is as a result of North’s development of him vs him just being a poor player relative to his draft position Why North didn’t take Watson or Curtin with that pick I’ll never know
  22. My critical thinking goes out the window when I hear a positive rumour about the Dees Welcome Brody
  23. Inside word @BLWNBA? Generally if a player is set on moving back home / to a particular club, it happens eventually, so for our sake I hope it’s something Dogga feels strongly about (as much as I feel for and respect his personal circumstances)
  24. He was never that consistent with his snaps but he used to be able to hit them from almost 50 metres out sometimes He’s absolutely fallen off a cliff in that regard and I just can’t understand why
