Highlights package = grain of salt. But there is some tremendous judgement of the flight and one grab marking in that package - it's hard to fake.

I don't know anything about Sam Hayes (or any other prospects) but I'll be aghast if we take an 18yo ruckman. We've got King and Filipovic and it will be a struggle to play and develop both of them at Casey - there is no Development League team. With TMac and Pedersen's 2017 efforts when Gawn was injured, and with Keilty who can pinch hit if required, I'll be disappointed if we take a ruckman full-stop.

I hope we go for some x-factor like Petrucelle and Fritsch. A Genuine small forward. No more HBF. No more project rucks.

Billy didn't use the ball aggressively enough IMO in his link up role on the wing. When he had possession he held up play too much, he needs to play on more fearlessly. Coaching staff will respect that if he does and we'll have to accept some turnover errors as a result.

What I mean is this: if true that man-kind has only contributed 3% to the total CO2 in the atmosphere since 1850 as you claim, then such a small percentage cannot possibly be responsible for climate change. The goals are a far bigger target than field targets.

I reject that analysis because it is based on a flawed premise that you can pretend that you might not trade a player you are determined to trade. MFC decided to trade Watts. He wanted to stay. MFC had to make it crystal clear to him that he we wanted to trade him - we were "upfront, open, and honest with Jack Watts from the very start." It's not practical or ethical to then pretend that we might not do a deal. There's many ways it can go wrong if you do: Reject Port's offer - Watts and his supporters think he's now a good chance to stay when in reality he's not Alternatively Watt's and his manager know he's going to be traded - it's not in Watts best interest to play along and disadvantage the club he's being traded to Port don't blink and a worse deal is all that's available in the end Watt's many supporters are misled about what is really happening and are rightfully even more upset All for some possible small trade increment. It's more practical and ethical to be transparent as MFC were.

Just thought I'd add these points on Brendan McCartney's influence. I've heard him speak twice and the two things he values above all else are elite preparation and commitment to the contest. Jack Watts' deficiencies are in both these areas. We've seen what can happen when a player devotes himself to elite preparation - Clayton Oliver. We've seen that the last two flags were won by teams with greater commitment to the contest than their more skillful opponents. Jake Lever is renowned for his preparation and commitment to the contest. There's a clear plan that makes sense to me.

First round draft picks can be pretty important. The 2017 Premiers 4 premium players were all 1st rounders. AFAIK we already have 11 1st rounders (or equivalents) on our list.
