  1. At the risk of steering this thread back to the original question; Astro turf also comes in blue, which grass does not (unless painted) but that's a whole different question.
  2. First let me say; tact and diplomacy are not things I normally associate with you, so bravo for trying something new. Second; I find the Moderators are quick to delete posts these days if they believe someone will be offended. The other day I had a post deleted for suggesting that some of the posters on the "New Director" thread were tilting at windmills. I would hate deleting posts to become the norm on this thread. I love the banter, humour and wit and believe everything said is said with good ............ grace. Perhaps you could try to confuse the Mods by prefacing your comments with something like; passionate Dee loving ..... nut job or something similar.
  3. Short answer is yes. I've observed this several times and often in similar conditions as today. I also think he gets a bit knocked around by hayfever season which can fire up asthma. Thanks for the observations today, yourself and the other track watchers have done a terrific job of reporting. I know it's a cliche but they really are "training the house down" for this time of year. You don't really get a sense of it unless you've been there. It's a far cry from days gone by
  4. Was taught to stay away from "compromise", always a better negotiated outcome where all the parties felt they got something. The classic trying for a "win win". Part of the art is finding what's hidden and what's really important. One of the keys is discovering what are the needs of the other side and acknowledging them. This is where some AI help would be really beneficial a bit like picking up a "tell" from a poker player.
  5. Thanks LG that is very interesting, sometime ago I had training and some experience in negotiations. A tool like this could be very valuable in the future. I sometimes struggled with all the permutations and found the most difficult things to overcome were peoples stubborn and often mistaken belief in their own opinions. We have a lot to thank the Greeks for but the adversarial method of debate means there is a winner and a loser. Often a better outcome can be achieved through a more cooperative approach.
  6. Chandler didn't look happy about being done over by the Bowza.
  7. No offence JCB31 but the question was apart from ringing the Club. One poster on here has mentioned that the majority of sessions will more likely be at Casey while the AO Tennis is on, which goes through to the 29th from memory. I can't remember if the tennis has a rest day. Will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition will be worth remembering for the future
  8. All good, I saved her in time. She does have a tattoo on her forearm, it's red and blue musical notes; "My Heart Beats True"
  9. As a GOT fan that conjures a whole range of disturbing images!
  10. Mrs Dw was a Filth supporter when we met. Nothing a good wash and a dose of think right couldn't fix.
  11. This is interesting (aside from what dimwit posters may say) . Is this a new position and an example of the "soft" cap being expanded or a replacement of someone who has left?
  12. No I don't. If I'm the fool. I'm sure I won't pity you either.
  13. You no doubt think your amusing but it wouldn't be the first time you turned out to be a fool. If you've been here long enough you'll know I will own my mistaken beliefs. In your case I will say I don't suffer fools gladly and if I'm the one I'll own it.
  14. Not too concerned about Koz going anywhere. I believe his girlfriend is a Torres Straight Islander who has been in Naarm for a number of years and has a job she loves with the Koorie Youth Council of Victoria. This together with what he has tattooed on his forearm has me feeling very positive about him staying.
  15. Ok that's what I was after. Mrs Dw and I are on a payment plan as well and received our membership pack well before Xmas. I suggest you ring the membership team. I had an issue with a 3 game membership that auto renewed and was being billed for, I rang the team and they sorted it straight away and sent a prompt refund. It sounds like something has gone amiss with yours. Phone number: (03) 9652 1111 Email: [email protected] Postal address: PO Box 223, East Melbourne, Victoria, 8002 Request a call: Head to the Membership website to request a call back at a time that suits you.
  16. Yeah, Nah, I can see a thread on here titled "Kozzie Pickett made me cry"
  17. You would need to sign up and pay for that.
  18. Mrs Dw spoke to him at the B&F and he was devastated, he didn't want to leave. When you say "moved on" what happens at a season end exit interview is the Club thanks you for your contribution but says your manager should explore your options. There is no nice way to do this but there is a respectful way. For the record; I would have kept him and not JS however age may have been a factor.
  19. I'll keep the joke going; Hawkins knows that propelling an opposition player forward by placing two hands in the middle of their back and pushing is against the rules, much like the burglar knows it's against the rules to break into your home. Both are preying on the ineptitude of those enforcing the rules. Your reasoning is like the solicitor who sends a letter of demand on behalf of a client. Knowing that such a letter has no legal standing, often while preying on peoples ignorance.
  20. So in sense it's like a thief and it's up to the police to catch him.
  21. I suspect it has gone to Hades
  22. Nope, some have read the track watcher thread.
  23. I thought this might have involved a goat until I opened the thread.
