  1. Weid out, Brown in. No question. There was a moment during the last quarter where he was in spitting distance of a giant who had the ball. Weid just stood there for a couple of seconds before you actually saw the cog turn in his brain that he should try to impact the ball carrier. McDonald would have smothered without even thinking, and that’s why he stays in the side.
  2. Premiership quarter there from the Dees.
  3. Lever ismoving fine in the warm ups thankfully. Let’s do him a favour and not let the ball ping down there quite so frequently, hey Clarry? edit: Autocorrect
  4. Giants have made a game of it thanks to a slew of dubious free kicks. Lever looks a little proppy after tripping over his own feet.
  5. Petty straight back in as if he never left. Loving the accuracy.
  6. I’m still getting used to making my way to the footy from my new place and I reckon I’ll miss most of the first quarter. So if we’re up by a mile when I get there you can thank me
  7. When the footy is so bad that I'm watching the rugby, you know there's an issue.
  8. What an atrocious night of one-sided football.
  9. I reckon no matter how far the dogs get in front, no team will think they're out of it as long as they can arrest momentum and make the dogs run the other way.
  10. Bulldogs have no ticker, so if the Roos can keep the heat on and prevent the Dogs from having it all on their terms, they could well have a shot - probably too far back though after that joke of a 1st quarter.
  11. It's a strange recipe of pity mixed with ambivalence, with a sprinkle of "why don't they just give up and fold"?
  12. lol imagine being torn apart by Cody Weightman. Sucks to be Essendon or North.
  13. Cody Weightman has such sublime skill. His ability to draw the free kick is elite….
  14. Everything I'm hearing re the Dees in my part of town is "how can your boys be stopped?" They're already basically giving us this flag and conceding a Prelim/GF in 2023 as the best case scenario.
  15. I just assumed they had crossed to him in his old folks home in Del Boca Brisvegas for a first hand account of the invention of the goals/minutes theorem…?
  16. Kruger looks like a good, albeit raw, young player for the Magpies.
  17. Nasher you were right. I gave this battle up mid-late last year, but tonight it's official Petty > Tomlinson
  18. I'll never begrudge Jeremy Howe from leaving to play for his childhood club. Plus he was just a speccie machine for us anyway.
  19. I reckon the Lions started doing it with Robinson and McLuggage in 2019 and we were left very much behind the pack. I was screaming for us to get wingers all year. Goody must have heard me.
  20. Now a broken nose for McKay. The heart bleeds… 👹
  21. Cripps has done his hammy. Sad for him, but very not sad for the Blues.
  22. HUDDO (referring to a last-second goal by the bombers): "That was just what the Essendon doctor ordered." That phrase means something different to most of us than it seems to mean to Huddo.
  23. Not a Petty fan I take it? He's a walkup start once matchfit.
  24. I wondered if he was our there, but then I do that most weeks.
  25. Has anyone seen/heard the stats (if any) around the effectiveness of staying outside 5 (dogs do this) vs standing the mark (Melbourne and most others do this? e.g., metres gained/scores in the passage of play, etc...?
