  1. Guys, I'm not saying play McDonald there all game. Just that with Pedo in, we have heaps of flexibility in how we do things. No other player could give us that.
  2. Lever's just 22 and by no means a vital cog in how we play. Besides, we're at about 9am in our premiership clock tilt. If we get it this year, it's about 3 years early I reckon.
  3. I reckon based on what this game sounds like, we should bring in Pedo as a McDonald replacement and send T Mac to the backline.
  4. I wonder if LARS is a chance? Knowing Melbourne, we'll go the old fashioned way regardless.
  5. Damn. Poor bloke. Not sure anyone should spend big bucks on a bloke who's done his knee before. Massive chance of it reoccurring, especially on that hell-hole that is [Sponsor name here] Stadium.
  6. Watch them lose today and make me look like a dill. I'm a real fan of how Bucks has got them playing this year though, and I kinda want them to win big today to set up a massive QB next week.
  7. Not gonna believe it till I hear it from Goody's mouth.
  8. Is this a tennis match Daisy?
  9. Jets is babyfaced at the best of times, but he looks positively 5-years old in this clip. 2:40 is probably the best example of the player he has become after being drafted in the Jack Watts-Naitanui year.
  10. BUMP! Nice pickup I reckon.
  11. You don't understand; North weren't good yet when we beat them. How could they have been? I mean, they lost to Melbourne!
  12. I'm the opposite. I've watched a fair bit of Collingwood, and I think they're nearly the real deal. Outside of West Coast Richmond Melbourne Sydney, they're the only team I think could actually win the flag if everything goes well. Yes there's Adelaide but injuries have destroyed them this year.

You don't rate him obviously. Hence his status as being underrated.
  14. Same with me. I imagine there will be few that will ever reach 300 again after this last of the pre-sport science days crop goes, so Jones may well end up the forever-longest-serving Dees player when (and it's been more when than if in my mind for a few years now) he reaches that 307 mark.
  15. Congrats to Jonesy on a marvellous career. I fully believe he can be around for the 6 or 7 years he thinks he can be. It's crazy to think that Jordan Lewis of all people is very likely to be the games record holder at the Melbourne Football Club ahead of David Neitz before long. He's got 14 games to go to reach that mark. Full credit to him. He won't have his Hawthorn fans at the game to recognise 300 and 307 but they are still going to be legitimate accomplishments (if and when they come). I hope all Melbourne supporters get out to acknowledge it (but secretly I hope Jonesy's still around long after to claim back the record for the stalwart Dees).

As much as I said I wouldn't, you've got me wanting to watch those highlights. Where Jetta has come from is as much a reason to be amazed as how good he plays as a defender these days.

Good post. I reckon Frost is very underrated amongst Melbourne fans. A bloke with those stats and his physical attributes demands a spot in our side, especially when our preferred like-for-like option may be out for an extended length of time.
  18. I believe in bone bruising and will continue to do so until the medical profession is completely overthrown resulting in the execution of all doctors and their wholesale replacement with holistic crystal-lovers. Come at me!
  19. Do you see anyone here admiring his machete skills? No. We admire his football and lament everything else that came with it.

Horrific disposal today. If I were him, I'd actually be a bit embarrassed at how much some people praised my game. I'm sure Goody will spend a lot of time with him midweek showing him how he could have turned those 39 possessions into much more valuable ones.
  21. And then he blamed it on Floss-Stone (I mean, he DID slip over, but I feel like Jake Lever would have still punched that ball into next century).
  22. Wouldn't mind a 147 flogging.
  23. The post post-Mark Neeld honeymoon is over for the Dons.
  24. Can't watch this. It makes me too sad. Liam Jurrah was one of the supreme talents.
