It wasn't Norm's curse, it was the curse of what was done to Norm.

When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?
Chook replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
The Saints have had their chances in the last 20 years. You can lead a club to water but you can't make it drink. We've been parched for a very long time. -
McDonald probably hasn't trained for the wing in about 10 weeks now, given he's been killing it as a forward.
-
I can think of one.
-
6. Oliver 5. McDonald 4. Salem 3. May 2. Spargo 1. ANB
-
Fritsche is having an absolute mare. Trac thinks he can plow through the entire Sydney team by himself. A bit of bighead about him this week with his new fat bank account. We should win this from here, but the Cats thought the same thing last week.

How good is it to have a huge forward marking presence in Brown? So much fun to watch!
-
Even if he does (get better), he still won't be better than the alternative that gets all three of Brown, Wied and McDonald in the side. I'm aware that Petty is the decision the coaches have gone with, and it's not going to change. I just think they're wrong. I will be shocked if Petty turns out to be a better defender than Oscar McDonald was, and Oscar had his own limitations.

McDonald (back) + Wiedeman > McDonald forward + Petty Petty isn't the future. He's not an AFL standard defender, no way known.
-
Started to dominate in that second quarter. Could very well have been another 4 goals up. Torched about 3 gimme goal opportunities.
-
Melksham very lucky that entry turned out as a goal.
-
Brown and McDonald starting to work well together in the space of the G. Loving it.
-
2 arsey swans goals from blind Melbourne handballs in the last line of defence. But we have to start winning it in the centre or we won't win this match. McDonald, Hibberd, May, Oliver, Langdon, Jackson all good this quarter. The rest have a long way to go.

The Western Bulldogs couldn't beat the Tigers but Melbourne and Geelong could. Probably doesn't say a great deal of positive things about their finals footy brand.
-
Serious question: Richmond used to be able to apply manic pressure for longer than 15 minutes per game before this year right? I'm not just imagining that surely?
-
Haven't seen it in about 8 months.
-
Dees have now beaten no one again because we beat Geelong when Cameron and Higgins were out and we beat Richmond who are clearly incapable of a full game of Tiger pressure anymore.
-
Would kill to have him in a Melbourne jumper.
-
Shades of Melbourne vs Richmond in that 1st quarter. Richmond's pressure vs us felt like it dropped off late in the 1st and never quite came back. It doesn't seem to have dropped off yet, and the cats haven't composed themselves like Melbourne did. Very interesting case study into what the tigers have learned and whether the cats have bothered to learn...

Melksham's job should be to get the ball, then wheel and hit Ben Brown on the anywhere from waist to 3 feet above his head. If he does that even 2-3 times a week he's done the job IMO.
-
I’d be content to be the worst premiers of all time.
-
Where is K. Pickett? Outrageous that he's not in the side!
-
Pretty sure he didn't mean "scream out each dollar in fear".
-
Not only that, but do we get the most benefit out of him and our other players if he is. I think …. Tom McDonald the lockdown defender and Wiedeman/Brown up forward is better than Harrison Petty the lockdown defender and any 1 or 2 (please god not 3) of Brown/McDonald/Wiedeman up forward
