  1. Yeah. You changed your name. And, yeah, our midfield is awful, but, hopefully, not in a few years?
  2. Oh, jeez, BB59?! We had peace in our time! Peace in our time!
  3. I completely missed this thread last night. Wow. All this over a Tim Watson (!) puff piece on Sunday Night (!)? Some need tact, others need to read a little less into everything that is written on here.
  4. Nah, he's one of the good ones. He'll be fine. (If he's sober.) We have gone way off topic and I apologise if this is 'unreadable,' thread was done anyway.
  5. You're here to keep 45HG16 off the turps?! I guess he does need as much help as he can get...
  6. That does beg the question...
  7. I'd read into it; we are too [censored] weak to make a effing decision. I can see you are trying to protect one of them, and by extension both of them, but I want my club to say that 'this player, as we saw it, was the best player, and this player the second best. Every year there is a Number 1 pick and Jack/Tom will have to deal with that pressure, and we are confident he can.'
  8. I appreciate that previous boards have become the FEMA of Melbourne's Katrina - blamed for everything. But, how do I say this delicately, you could use a tiny bit a tact from time to time...
  9. Or re-start an old one... HSOG - You, sir, are a formidable opponent. I'm sorry to make light (and well done to anyone who got my reference) but this dance has been done to death. We know all the moves and nothing ever changes; no-one ever changes their minds. Let's just leave it at we are fortunate to have a number of benevolent fans who have helped put the club back on the right track. The previous boards are not to blame, and should be applauded for their selfless, and tireless efforts for the club. The current board has done little more than organise the benevolence and we all hope that their selflessness leads to a lasting solidarity with the fans of the club and the finances of the club.
  10. He can still [censored] himself on the track. He just can't...well...I'd be repeating myself.
  11. We will see, my good friend. We will see...
  12. Ooh, ooh, you wasted time on me too. I grow weary of the debate though. Needless to say I am satisfied we have cleared around $6m worth of debt since the early 90s. Thanks go to ALL boards that have given their time and the fans who have given their money.
  13. Mitchell, Sewell, and Hodge are stars of the game. Davey is the only thing close to them and he is a receiver; they get their own pill. For a flag you need top quality everywhere, but you especially need stars in your midfield, if you don't have that, you don't have a chance.
  14. I have always seen Rivers as more value when we are a better team. When our midfield gets better, when those around get better, and when the backline sees less ball. And when they do I want one of the best readers of the play in the AFL to mark those, now indiscriminate (thanks to the harder working midfield), kicks that come into our backline, leaving his man to help Frawley and Warnock who are on the best two defenders, and then handing it off to Garland, Grimes, McDonald, Bruce, or MacDonald to rebound.
  15. There's always someone (or a few) smarter, and JJ Abrams would be one of those people.
  16. I will be devious.... Let's just say this: the idea that this poll leads to anything useful is about as large a stretch as stating the position of Jared Rivers isn't safe due to the arrival of Joel MacDonald.
  17. Yeah, it's incredibly likely that he will turn his back on a $1m, and spend 2 years travelling and doing fitness work whilst not being able to play football at any level in the hopes that not only would Nathan Buckley still be interested in him, but that he would even be able to play a sport at the highest level after not playing competitively for 2 and a half years. 2 to 1 on, really.
  18. Don't ask me. I have no idea what's going on and I have watched every episode.
  19. No, 45 is saying that people who know these prospects well should name 18 kids that would give more than Luke Ball and that would give them their answer of whether they want Ball. Also, not a fan of that thread, or the whole 'history of this particular pick' thing.
  20. Ugh. Little late, isn't it?
  21. Oh. Then don't worry about it. Someone name 18 kids that are a better prospect than Ball is for 5 years and you will have a very good point.
  22. 4 of the 6 numbers picked two weeks in a row are from the '4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42' numbers that have LOST fans baffled. The island is gaining power.
  23. Well, get on it.
  24. I'm good. For those that have been regulars on here would know (and partake in) I get this 'intervention' bi-annually so I have a lot of practice.
  25. Well, that's it then...
