  1. I keep getting pulled back into the scrum... I have nothing to say and it has degenerated back to the 'lying-gate' issue (to throw another 'gate' around) of which I feel compelled to respond to for some reason...(ego, probably) But I am weaning myself off of it...
  2. I can contemplate it. It was far from convincing. It was further from convincing me to believe Tom is a liar. But we're back on this 'lying-gate' issue aren't we? If you get banned from it, it isn't my fault, so don't think I will take any blame for it. You are obsessed with getting posters on here, especially myself, to tell you that you were right. I cannot do that because of some mumblings from Silvagni. You are going to have to wait until there is irrefutable evidence Tom signed a contract last October. I don't think there is, because I don't think he has signed, as I believe his word. I will change my mind when the facts change - not when unnamed sources tell Barrett, Schwarz et al their 'inside word.' The end. Move on.
  3. Yeah, I was a big rap for him and can still see what he 'could' become but this year hasn't been great... Throw him in the middle and see how he goes, I want to see him wear a few tackles.
  4. The journos reporting what their unnamed sources are telling them make them secondary sources in the Saga. They can be wrong and not liars - they can be repeating lies they heard but that's it. Tom is a primary source. He is a liar or he isn't. I don't think he is a liar. You should hope this post gets deleted. Not for anything other than the fact it makes you look like you have delusions of grandeur. I defend Tom on this thread because of what I said before, and what my signature states. rpfc cares about the future of the MFC and a flag. He couldn't give a flying about RR and his crusade...
  5. The club can decide the parameters though. Have the LG decided by the U/24 players with only them in that group. The LG this year has been an unmitigated failure and should be treated as such.
  6. Yes. PM a mod if there are private messaging conversations that offend. No-one has the right to denigrate in private any more than public.
  7. FFS. You, and others, think Tom is a liar. I, and others, don't. Move on. Comprehend your sentence that I have bolded, and move on.
  8. You can block PMs from particular posters. And in every society there are all types of people. Why I have even rolled my eyes at posts of yours, hr...
  9. What does this mean? I mean, he doesn't have the balls to blame an appalling loss on the fine posters of Demonland... That takes a rare breed. But he goes ok.
  10. You seem like a sadomasochist in these threads now, RR... It isn't pleasant. You don't need me to be persuaded for you to win your argument - you need to wait for the facts. I have little to report/say on the TTS so I have left it. You have got your 8th wind from something Silvagni said on Hutchy's Kids show. You can take that and run with it. I still believe Tom was telling the truth. He hasn't signed and we await his decision on a timeframe he decided on - to decide his future. Get some patience and move on to other topics - they are plenty of other things to talk about - or don't. But the latter isn't a good look.
  11. Same place as Lady Hamilton's virtue...
  12. He can decide where his desks come from in September, because we are only going to offer 6 and a quarter desks no matter what. With that in mind - we can plan how we give out our desks now.
  13. The boldness of a Trengove captaincy is another reason why I don't think it will happen... Brave decision but one that can come about if my U/24 Leadership Group Plan is put in place...
  14. OK. But can he get some help, possibly share it? I don't like shared captaincy but it may be the way to go. Grimes/Trengove? Frawley/Trengove? Frawley/Grimes/Trengove? I don't like it but I am uncomfortable burdening a 20 year old, albeit a very impressive 20 year old...
  15. But firing the CEO isn't? Their form has been very similar... Although one of them isn't on the verge of doing a massive sponsorship deal...
  16. WTF? e25 can be easily criticised for tone and twaddle, but not on this thread. Others sidetracked the thread and we went with it.
  17. Nice one.
  18. I really like it... Each to their own.
  19. Riot? If he goes, it will be a terrible decision and push back our window (and diminish it) but I doubt we will 'riot.' Strong words will be said no doubt. I assume there will also be some strong words if he stays too - those that think he held the club for 'ransom,' some will denounce his large price, and some will be annoyed he 'strung' the club along for no reason in a tough year. I don't believe he has signed with anyone yet so my reaction will be formed when the decision is made.
  20. You mean Sean Wellman? Wallis went from Freo to Ess. You seem rather certain of a Premiership coach you don't know the name of... Funny...
  21. How does he line his own pockets? And how did he treat these players? We cannot create pressure for change if we don't know the facts.
  22. It was $2.1m over three years and Laurie is a stubborn bastard who can stand his ground on an issue like that if he wants to but the club also is a business that is allowed to stand its ground. We wanted the emblem - it's our jumper and we got it. The Hankook logo is one of the easiest to see on any jumper and for $700k a year Laurie got extraordinary value for money over the three years. He should be very happy with his lot - he isn't, and that is his right. But I am not going to sit here and let Schwab get crucified because of a fight with Laurie. He's got bigger problems than Laurie...
  23. You have to celebrate the small wins. Even if they are par for the course for strong clubs who always keep the players they want to keep. I coined the MFCSS term for a similar reason (low bar of expectation, celebrating mediocrity, fearing the worst, etc), but there is nothing wrong with celebrating the re-signing of a 19 year old gun. They are rather desired, and difficult to re-sign...
  24. It's been a trying week, just let them have this...
  25. If it makes you feel better I believe that the 'crisis' at the club was precipitated by Schwab and Co. having a similar opinion of our senior players to you...
