The Ponsford was 70/30 the other way. The was 15k+ staying around to cheer after the game. It was 50/50 if it was anything. What are we going to do Dees fans? Are we turning up? Give me them excuses I love them, I gobble them up. Yum yum.

Remember we basically swapped Jack Watts for Fritch

Not when you are a turkey that occasionally did eagle cosplay. -
They had a choice. Keep Mitchell, Gunston, Shiel, and O’Meara instead of ND48, ND41, ND53, Stephens, Meek, and ND29 (est) and be more competitive and win games and keep what was left of the culture they banged on about. What kind of a return is that? How much does the soul of your club mean in draft picks? 3 first rounders? They did all that to take to the [censored] of their list and to collapse and get ND1 which apparently is a Dusty type gun.

Of course it is. Otherwise tanking doesn’t exist. Players want to win. Coaches putting players in different roles is the benign tactic of tanking. No one deliberately plays to lose,m; losses are manufactured through savage list management, ‘injuries’, and playing kids ahead of their time.
-
What the hell do you think tanking is? They have deliberately made their team awful to get draft picks. They are tanking harder than they did in 03/04.

Also, how is the crowd going to be this Sunday? I was there last year and it felt like an away game. Over/Under on excuses at 5.5 @ $2. Thats money for jam.
-
So we lost twice?
-
Goodwin essentially said we were staid and boring. Hi Clayton and Jack and Ed, do you not what to play like this? This week will tell us whether our best players agree with the move to replicate Collingwood in transition. We’re lost if they don’t. God help JVR and anyone else we blood.

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition

Maybe but remember; Brad Green after we won our first game of the year in Rd 10 in 2007 said ‘we can still play finals and we should aim for that.’ And you know what happened? ☺️ We finished 3rd last in 5 wins… … (cough) -

Lucifers Hero: You’re funny! wyl: How am I funny? Tell me what is so funny? How am I funny to you? -
They should just pull the trigger on JVR.

Another undeserved Melksham drive-by. He ain’t keeping your boy out. Not any of your boys (generally waving at the rest of Demonland). Literally just played the worst role for the first two weeks that there is in the team; come on for 25 minutes to make an impact in a blowout, and… replace our generational AA ruckman and Captain… I have had my own critique of selection the last two years - but Jake doesn’t rate a mention in the Table of (dis)Contents…
-
Did you make it?

We will see. Frankly, I didn’t want to rude about Schache but he has never played ruck well at all and has only had glimpses of form in the backline. We have two kid rucks in reserve, and JVR who would be best avoiding that baptism, Brown can’t do it, who else is left? Which all leads to one statement: Thank Thor for Brodie Grundy…
-
Schache would be behind TMac as a ruck option.

It’s all about effort and mindset in any endeavour. Those that predict comfortable wins every week should keep that caveat in mind. And don’t give me the Gawn excuse. I am sorry, it didn’t make Clarry blast away or Langdon miss handballs or or or… They need to mentally show up - that’s a prerequisite to competitiveness - and they didn’t. Deal with it.
-
What I pieced together was that we put a timer on it as it was late in the piece and then we nixed it when it didn’t come together quick enough.
-
So many excuses and a lot of hand wringing. Personnel doesn’t lead to a performance like that. Smashed in the clearances meant we were on the back foot all the time and Oliver and Viney kicking out of contest like it’s 2019 didn’t help. Angus at least won the footy and that kick to Brown that set up a Bowey-Chandler-Fritsch ‘3 second drill’ was great. Aside from Bowey, had little dare back there.

He didn’t want to go. We can we do.

Camaraderie?

I smell a late change with May not being risked… No insider info, just a faint whiff of footy dept nonsense. 31. Tight calf. Friday night in Brisbane in March.
