  1. It's from the TV commercial that is running at the moment. The blurry one on the left is a tad interesting? They could do without it - didn't notice until you pointed it out though...
  2. Useless? It would be best if he started to one grab his marks - which he is capable of doing - but to say that a big forward is useless if he doesn't grab them is a bit of hyperbole - Garlett and Kent shouldn't mind if all he does is provide a target and bring it to ground...
  3. As some others have suggested - I don't know how they come up with that. Half his touches were efficient from what I can see, but the Champion Data people judged them inefficient for some reason. Not a huge fan of that stat.
  4. It's a good story but Ainslie played UWS early last year when Frost was in the seniors... The coach of Ainslie directly called up George Stone to make sure they took a close look but I reckon it is just a boring story of Taylor, Viney and co. doing their jobs well as to why he is at the club.
  5. Doesn't ball watch does he? For the excellent Newton goal (hasn't he started well too?) Vanders saw the bloke get in the motion of a kick and 'bee lined' over and took advantage of a dumb footy play by the GC defender.
  6. Seems an age ago this thread - but we discuss it every year. Hopefully, Watts settles it positively in 2015.
  7. Er, what if we don't...want...him?
  8. Doesn't take much to be a sellout but you would be unlucky if you got their early and missed out... But don't hold me to this - I only see Dees games at Manuka - it is such a terrible spot to watch footy; terrible atmosphere, usual cold wind coming across the ground, high UV if the sun is out so you go home (or to the pub) burnt and freezing...
  9. Jack Viney was in utero when signed to a contract...
  10. In his defence; that was me he said he hated...
  11. The problem is, as TDI/Saty will attest, they have done some ruck work at training with Frost - they haven't done it with Dawes. Jamar/Frost looks to be the preferred pairing until Gawn knocks down the door... I know it is only 20 mins a game but it is tough to throw someone a role they haven't been prepared for, and for the mids to be given a ruck they haven't worked with.
  12. I just meant 'not be the sub'... And, 'first selected'? He would be down the list quite a bit...
  13. Interesting... The better we get the more you will get out of an 'ok' game from Watts.
  14. Huge 3 year old bump...
  15. I would love to see Vanders keep his spot in the 21 - he will have a lot of family (up from Tathra) and friends at the game...
  16. Yes, it is handy to have multiple talls, assuming the balance is correct... Another thing is that Hogan got a few 'hit and hope' kicks on his head that I would much prefer Dawes be under. I just can't see Dawes or Vince being left out - if they are fit to play, they would play if I was coaching. Such a young team, and best 22 players available to help a 20 year old CHF and a very shallow midfield? It just seems a no-brainer to include them.
  17. Salem has the hallmarks of being the coaches pet project in the backline so they will have to get pretty spooked to walk away from that so soon. Kent is an interesting one, they nursed him through the NAB challenge to get him to Rd 1 so they rate him - but he was shaken up and wouldn't have been in the top 15 players - which isn't to say he played badly.
  18. Cats will make the 8 as they play so many games down at Mordor. I think it will be a false economy at the end of the year...
  19. Thankfully, results are helping you guys out for once. Good luck.
  20. Supermercado is an excellent writer. And it is amazing how much of the team has changed in 18 months...
  21. My bet is Toumpas and Brayshaw. My reasoning would be on the fact that Roos has historically favoured blooding kids slowly. Toumpas needs to run around and get some footy for a few weeks - whatever role he would play in the AFL wouldn't allow him to do that. Getting it 6 times in a quarter of a game isn't a bad effort either... just throwing that out there. Anyone can eff up a handball, not everyone can find it deep in the forward line in the first place...
  22. What a great effing problem to have? God I miss this - having 25 blokes worthy of a game...
  23. Some were saying he was done and shouldn't be bothered with anymore - I think that is what rjay is referring to.
