  1. I am loving the lack of kids in the AFL for the Dees. We play them way too early, on not enough form.
  2. That is not 'the old logo' - it is still the logo, the are using the MFC overlap for reasons raised on here - it is hard to make the logo/emblem look good on the jumper, some merch and promotional tools. Bartlett has already said that there was a great deal of support for the emblem. I like it, I don't have as much of a problem with a constellation as TSFKA does, and it is busy and arrogant because that is the history of this club. By all means create other logos and use them as required - it really is a nothing issue we constantly harp about.
  3. It was more of a backhanded compliment really...
  4. We will barely get past 32k by Rd 1. We won't reach the desired 35k. If they want 40k this season, they might want to win a couple of games...
  5. As I intimated - you are arguing someone's form is bad ergo they 'don't want to be at the club': It's BS, the kind of BS you usually boorishly rail against - and yet here we are...
  6. Ok, there is a happy medium between keep possession and bombing it to no-one. We were getting it into the fwd 50 every 7 touches in the second quarter. For the other three quarters we were running at once every 14 touches... I applaud the desire to keep the footy, but risks lead to goals and come from confidence, and confidence is nurtured by success. We won't be a consistent footy team until we take risks and play direct footy.
  7. Defence: McDonald, Dunn, Salem, Frost, Grimes, and Jetta. Midfield rotation: Jones, Tyson, Cross, Viney, Newton ,M Jones, Lumumba (Def), JKH (Fwd), and Bail (Fwd), Primary Forwards: Pedersen, Garlett, Hogan, and Watts. Rucks: Jamar and Gawn. Sub: Kent Emer: Garland Michie Toumpas
  8. So... ...do they sway you? Or are you just looking to attack his form in 2014 through a quiet day at Luna Park?
  9. Aside from the 2nd quarter we entered the forward line 17 times from 250 touches for 4 goals. I'm not backward in coming forward but the Dees are - and it is a problem...
  10. 5 certainties and the rest are question marks for various reasons, will not be in the mix, or are gone.
  11. 19 days to go and still no footy... It is going to be tough for Vince and Howe.
  12. You are claiming this - while arguing with DD36 about Roos' words in another thread... Is it his body language onfield, C&B? Are there any other tell-tale signs of discontent?
  13. The hardest part is getting the footy, clint...
  14. Frankly, I was little bit pleased the Bulldogs had that in them as it shows we were not playing a bunch of no-hopers... That first half was a dominant ball controlling experience and I am only tempered by the following stat - 37 Inside 50s... So much dominance and footy - 297 Uncontested Possessions (!) - and we could only managed 37 Inside 50s? Have to be more direct... We had 20 of those Inside 50s in the 2nd quarter along with 153 touches. The Dogs had 20 I50s in the last quarter with 69 touches... They are a decent footy team, and when you win it out of the middle - you can do some damage.
  15. First comment in a gameday thread ever I think... This is good! Too bad nobody can see it!
  16. Salem is not finalised and I have updated the OP for JKH.
  17. IF You NEED TO DO THIS to your POST, I am less inclined to READ IT.
  18. That debt that keeps being mentioned is gained from an asset we acquired yes? Would love an exploration of that claim that has come up a few times now in the last couple of days...
  19. Very well may be. Keep those asterisks in mind - I go off confirmation from those in the know here (PM me of course if you don't want to reveal anything) and the papers/club website.
  20. Brayshaw update.
  21. So his change of scenery is to go from an AFL club to an AFL club - great recommendation...
  22. Unfortunately, he hasn't explained why he isn't playing for us though - other than a so-called require scenery change. Please excuse us for scoffing in that general direction. Most of us respect his issues, but not the way in which he has handled himself while pushing to play for another club. If he was so damaged by his last year at the Demons he should be playing for a team on the coast and taking pictures. He doesn't need to play AFL, he doesn't need to be playing for Geelong, he hasn't properly explained why he is and that is why he is being judged so harshly by so many people - not just Dees fans.
  23. Probably related to this: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/melbourne-demons/afl-backed-goodwin-for-demons-20150312-142qhb.html
  24. It's hard not to; you just never know how Assistant Coaches make the transition to Head Coach...
  25. Life and fate are funny things - I think the club is better off with Lumumba in there than Clark, and I know it isn't an either/or situation. But maybe fate conspired to do it this way for a reason.
