  1. I have heard internally they like Hird. Yze would be suited as they have established senior players and should be better. It’s not a rebuild.
  2. He’s off to the Saints? Ah, WYL is right then. #nohoper #whybother #wontwinaflagwithhimonteam #durkadurr
  3. Nothing you can glean from that and also some education: ”Let’s bring his brother here!” His brother would demand midfield time immediately he is that good. So goodbye Viney or Petracca if you want someone to actually play a defensive role in there… And he will cost us a top pick and a good young player so who is leaving? ”We better get blah blah for him!” He is a Restricted Free Agent which means the best we will get is ND19 unless we are willing to match his salary and keep him and that may break our cap, so set your expectations. There you go, you’re welcome! 🤗
  4. Hmm. Might be worth going to see live almost.
  5. We pushed them over the cliff, these years of bubbling mid-table mediocrity are just the rock edges that they are hitting on the way down. Even the ridiculous discussion on the ground from Scott to not discuss their reversion back to slow kick ‘keeping’s off’ is a sign of their mental weakness - both in reverting and in not owning up to it.
  6. Yes, and when we tried to do it, we got fined while being told we didn’t do it… #OldMelbourne They should rest as many as they can - they would get more output and the exisiting players don’t need another 100 point loss to endure.
  7. It also has a lot to do with how the Eagles treated his brother Hamish. I heard mismanaged injuries and subpar communications.
  8. It’s this atm. Who knows how it may change in the future.
  9. He plays on the footy now from what I can tell
  10. ‘Yesterday’: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hang on a second, he is as my bloke?! Clarkson, Simpson, will see if I can claim Hardwick, and… look I will even cop Malthouse but Ross Lyon? We had one date and he couldn’t consummate. Even had this weird draw thing where we all came back the next week to try again and it didn’t happen. He’s more of a ‘Never Was’! ’Never Was’: Here we go again?! Always shuffling me these people. Can I just be left alone? I am taking Voss until he does something. Yes, of course as a coach. Jeez.
  11. Once you get past the monotone there is something of substance in what he repeats.
  12. I could be wrong and I have been in the past - but in my experience when the apprentice come up against the master they will take some time to overcome because the master has seen more tactical shifts to overcome their own system and can employ them easily against the apprentice. Also Freos midfield is nowhere near Brisbanes and ours. Apologies to Brayshaw. I see Brisbane as the biggest challenger.
  13. The Saints were not that bad in the first half - their pressure was up, they were trying to move the footy through the corridor - we were so up and about with our own pressure and execution both on turnover and in the middle meant strangulation and then evisceration. It’s a deadly mix and that is the first evidence this year that we have one hand on the cup. Won’t know about the second until later in the year against Brisbane but our best makes very good teams look mediocre.
  14. Hey Deeluded, calm down mate. Yes they stated the obvious, you were wrong to put words in his/her mouth, you are not being attacked, and finally, why are you using a new name?
  15. Lever is playing hurt. If a week or two off will help him - then Adam T will be adequate replacement. Hunt did well on Higgins, Salem coming back is a huge decision. Hunt or Rivers? Not going to be Bowey.
  16. @Sir Why You Little god damn it man. Never have I seen a hole dug so quickly and… eagerly.
  17. From that same site; our opposition, as in the teams we have played, have the best average rebound 50 number and the 5th best rate (this is the number that is more determinative because it takes into account our high number of I50s). But it means we are letting it out of our 50.
  18. Is this @rangerover? Just remind me of him so much… No, it’s not a good thing.
  19. No one can make you fell shame but you. I live in Canberra and have a 2 yr old. I have been to the Dogs and the Tigers games and I will be at the Lions Thursday night game. I make the effort and pay the money because I can afford it (off alcohol to compensate) and I know how quickly this all could go away. One injury, a resigning that doesn’t happen, some bad luck and we blink and miss the moments we want to savour for years to come. I know many have great reasons why they are unable to get to these games, but this is a unique situation with a generational team that is not attracting generational crowds. Its disappointing and we shouldn’t ignore it.
  20. Yes, it’s amazing to have these players. Probably should try to get to the games and enjoy it…
  21. When something is more meaningful than you know, because you just don’t know. And that’s ok, but just get out of the way.
  22. Montagna was just saying that our forward half pressure isn’t where it was last year. Stats bear that out and so does the eye test. We are allowing the ball further up the ground and that may be part of the plan as I said before - playing helter skelter in the forward half is not easy. I just think they better lift that on Sunday. The saints slingshot so well because they are front runners at heart.
