Farewell Luke Jackson
Your second paragraph assumes your first paragraph hypothesis is wrong. It’s a risk or it’s not. Its a risk and I hope it gets Freo to give up something of value.

This is specious reasoning. What are the probabilities of a player of that calibre that late in the draft? Less than 1%. Getting picks ‘right’ in the top 15 means stars, 200 gamers or greats of the game. We have a few we prepared earlier… Getting the picks 50+ ‘right’ means role players, 50 gamers, and projects that dont go anywhere. Your frustration is misplaced, literally in random threads, and in reality.

After North loses a kid from interstate they are not going to take another ‘wantaway’ player in the PSD. The only leverage we have is with WCE being in the race for him. But that comes with the not insignificant chance of us getting nothing for him. We are going to settle for less than market because Freo just won’t be able to get near market for him.

Hawks racism allegations (merged thread)
Yes it does. And I am sure ‘three-peats’ are much easier when you create a culture that family is to be diminished and all of life outside football are considered distractions to avoid. I can now get my head around how that ‘culture’ can be then applied to the indigenous experience with appalling consequences. Starting to see they treated everyone the same… Family club hey…

2022 MFC Delistings
I can see why Hibberd and Melksham are getting another year with Hunt and Bedford on the way out.

Yes, constructing a forward line with Gawn as FF makes this need for a tall forward mooter by the day. Gawn, Fritsch, TMac, Kozzie, and a mid rotation are locks for the 7 on game day IMO. I honestly don’t know if the ROI is there with available options to upgrade on JVR or Brown - fit next to Gawn the next few years is crucial. If it’s not an amazing forward, it might just clog us up. And as boring as it sounds - what’s more important is our ball movement and pressure. We might be better off smaller… Intriguing situation.

What's next for Adem Yze?
Oh I know. Its fantastic. And with Yze not there I can actively root for their failure. Hell, with a Scott in there I might get my voodoo dolls out

How is ND22 and $$$ hardball? It’s fair ball.

That is exactly how I see the scenario and our role has to be that ‘you have created a scenario at your club where you have a wage you want to reduce and are at an impasse other than for that player to be traded to us - here is a pick in the 20s and a commitment to pay $650k. Take it or leave all your October plans as just that’

I think it is more the role he plays where he helps the backs out and yes, uses his workrate to link through the middle. But he also does some disruption around stoppages for CO13 and CP5. Not to mention allowing CP5 to pizz off forward sometimes by himself as he follows his bloke. I actually think it is a problem to have a FORWARD have that much responsibility that isn’t to getting in the right spots for us to move the ball and hit dangerous spots in the F50. Next year, we need to tweak our web and the direction to our forwards so we actually have players coming at the ball carrier. We also need to up our pressure again but let’s not get into it in this thread. This thread is to celebrate our Demon God Clayton. May we all live in eternal damnation and evil fire at his altar. Amen

Farewell Jayden Hunt
So often he was the only spark from the backline, as others were inert - he would run and show dare. Sad to see him go. Gives opportunities to Bowey and possibly a new kid in the draft.
