  1. The fact that a team like GC or NM didn’t pick him up for nothing at the end of 2020 is an indictment on their judgement. Great professional.
  2. With other dominoes falling (Spargo) we look like we know what we have to play around with. I choose to take it as a positive.
  3. I agree with the psychopath. We need to crush them, bury them, salt the earth, plant a tree where they lie, let it grow and then cut it down in its prime. Rinse and repeat. What? It’s perfectly healthy.
  4. This is an embedded link to another thread! To technology!
  5. Great news. And means we are fairly confident of other things are settling into place.
  6. Only two things scare me; and one is playing the Tigers in a final at the G…
  7. Possibly. Harmes’ hammy and 6 day break. I love our ‘Melbourne Way’ resilience mantra but great teams have been resting players since the beginning of time. So there is a place for it.
  8. This sort of thing will always have an asterisk against it I think.
  9. Here we go again… you kill one person and everyone is on you… Surgery IS hard, a you SHOULD try it! I tried it, and it didn’t work out but hey someone needed their liver out! Edit: right, appendix. Ironically, that was the problem in the theatre!
  10. I think we need to sublet. Make some money…
  11. He’s developing well down at Casey. Really making list management decisions easier, or harder depending on your view.
  12. Jackson is a luxury that we won’t need until Gawn is done 3 years from now. But when that happens the outlay to get a star ruckman and one of the 15 best players in the comp would be ridiculous. If he stays it will be within our cap framework. I am sure his agent would be pushing for more but Jackson himself would have Gawn and co in his ear saying what they have done to keep the band together. The fact that Petracca will average $900k through his prime is stunning. Oh, and lastly, you don’t let players like this go. Kids a unicorn.
  13. I always thought they were better when they traveled to call the game. I wonder if Paramount will bring anything into the sport when it comes to broadcasting - our calling of the game has always been for those with viewing impairment “Smith has it on the wing and kicks long” and has descended to boys club nonsense “Hodgey got you Bristle! Let’s share two year old in jokes with Richo here!” or Fox harping like Underwood with Jackson or when Dwayne opens his mouth at all. We are getter better at the ‘around the game hosting’ - Brayshaw is good at that, Lyon and Riewoldt provide that, Kath Loughnan has been excellent and doesn’t let things descend into mates talking to each other. Maybe commentating is next.
  14. These guys would get a rest if a rest would help. Zorko had surgery on his ankle and looked seriously hampered playing HBF earlier in the year and he just said ‘it’s just discomfort and it best if I work through the pain’ and if you saw him against the Crows you wouldn’t think he had pre season surgery. Anywho, Lever is playing so he can get criticised for form but just heads up, he is boot off at half time and proppy as anything after games.
  15. We have a bunch of decisions for the end of the year around Weideman and our depth. But that is for later in the year, enjoy the ride. And not looking for perfection in the VFL.
  16. He will get a couple Liam. Bad look. Chandler was worried for the bloke onfield when he saw the replay. It’s a real tough one, he pinned and rolled and then released too late for his momentum.
  17. He’s injured still. Right foot, probably plantar fascia related. Working through it, but does a month off help him? Got to trust Selwyn.
  18. That’s great, can you plug your phone in please?
  19. It’s not fixed and there are two teams that finished 2nd and 4th last year outside the 8. So probability is not determinative, it’s indicative. And there are exceptions and I think both the Dogs and Power will break that probability.
  20. Buckley will either be in TV or head coaching. Don’t think he will do a ‘senior assistant gig.’
  21. Would love the commercial dept of the club to comment on this notion.
  22. It has been obvious subtext to whenever it is brought up in Gus & Gawny. I don’t disagree with your point but he feels he is a midfielder, he wants to be on ball and he will either reconcile that or he will leave to try and be that at Fremantle. That’s my read of it. I am just going to enjoy 2022 and his part in it. Enjoying the moment, and getting to more games that some Dees fans who live 700kms closer than I do - that’s what rpfc is allllll about.
