The AFL are treating us with contempt
Nar you’re entitled to your opinion. I reckon what’s worse is that the AFL don’t schedule us a game in Melbourne between rounds 14 and 17.

The AFL are treating us with contempt
The North and Geelong games are irrelevant to the discussion as they’re not our home game. And anyway I’m not sure what’s stopping a Melbourne supporting family going to a 3:20pm game on a Sunday afternoon game in the city, unless they live in the bush. And I’m not sure about others but I was stoked to get three Saturday afternoon games in the first 15 rounds which is 3 more than what we got last year.

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Lobb should’ve been suspended. I don’t care if it was a Collingwood player or some bloke from Nar Nar Goon’s seconds. That was not an accident.

NON-MFC: Round 02
For what it’s worth Tom Stewart’s a sneaky chance to miss our round 4 game.

NON-MFC: Round 02
I would be absolutely flabbergasted if St Kilda lose to Richmond next week on their turf. St Kilda are a different team at Marvel.

NON-MFC: Round 02
If the club is persisting with this nonsense high half forward role for Fritta, then he should take a look at the way Ben Keays plays that role. Becoming borderline elite.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
It will be one of Sharp or Langford that gets dropped. Sharp was one of our worst players last week from a statistical perspective while Langford looked off the pace. Leaning towards Sharp starting as sub, being injected after 3 qtr time and kicking a sneaky couple while Langford plays a full game in Casey's season opener.

NON-MFC: Round 02
Looks like Carlton and the Dees are going to be top 4 on the expected score ladder this year....yay! Impressed with Hawthorn's ability to withstand a number of best 22 players being out. Signs of a quality team.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Be interesting to see how he goes in perfect conditions on Sunday. HIs 2 senior games this year have been on days when the weather hasn't been ideal. Really liking that he's an accurate shot at goal and seems to have footy smarts.

Caleb Windsor dudded?
Agreed. He started his run and carry on the defensive side of the centre square. The 3 contenders must have bene pretty amazing if Caleb didn't get nominated. Guessing everyone's love child Wizard Watson was one of the nominated.

Demon supporters are pathetic…
They're so costly GW given we play a brand of footy that doesn't allow us to win too many blow outs, but conversely not allow too many blow outs the other way. A little more composure in the dying minutes and we're 13-10 last year and 1-0 to start this season.

Demon supporters are pathetic…
If you think the crowd was bad on Sunday, imagine what the crowd (or lack thereof) V West Coat at Marvel in early August is going to be. Particularly if it’s a Sunday 4:40 and/or we’re out of business due to continually losing close games.

Welcome to Demonland: Jack Henderson
Reminds me a bit of James Harmes when he used to wear #43 back in the day. His VFL highlights show that he's a capable goal kicker, so if he can get into some goal kicking opportunities he could be an asset.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
If he’s playing in a new position, why is he playing in a new position? Why not best utilise the player in the position he played where he kicked 59 (2021, 55 (2022) and 55 (2023 if he played all 25 games)? He’ll be lucky to kick 20 goals if you look at how he ended 2024, the Freo praccy game and round 1. Seeing him chase kicks on the wing isn’t helping anyone. Bring back that elite STAY AT HOME FORWARD that kicked 5 against Sicily last year. And quite frankly JVR needs a little bit of a nudge to get going. His end to 2024 was also poor. If you get both of these guys hitting the scoreboard, we’ll be a much more dangerous team.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
Larkey, Zurhaar and Curtis pose a big threat to us, and if we can shut 2 of these guys down, then that will go a long way towards winning. Larkey's an obvious danger with May out, but it's the small -medium forwards that are continuing to cause us (and the wider AFL) damage as per Greene and Coniglio last week. In - Turner Out - AJ (although has it been confirmed that we accepted the week) Langford to get a full game. Sharp to start as sub. Also need to be mindful that Windsor might not be available.

Did we end up accepting the generous offer of 1 week?

2025 MRO & Tribunal
Archer’s 3 weeks upheld. I’d suspect Fritsch will sleep well this week.

2025 MFC Injury List
He’ll probably miss knowing our luck but Selwyn didn’t rule Windsor out for this weekend.

AJ Suspended
If we take it to tribunal we have to prove that there was no potential to cause injury. You would've thought the impact would have been considered low impact given Brown didn't appear to be hurt too much by the incident and played out the game more than fine. However it was graded medium because of the potential to cause injury. We would have to argue that view that there was no potential to cause injury I'd imagine. We'll probably accept. Our record in getting our players off at the tribunal isn't great.
