2022 Indigenous Jumper
Hopefully a long sleeve (for both the Anzac and Indigenous) will be ordered for Langdon or Hunt or those gents won't be happy. Last year they didn't have one for either.

CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
The only way BBB doesn’t get selected is if they’re simultaneously punishing Brown for getting rubbed out in a meaningless VFL game while rewarding T Mac and Weid for playing in 3 good wins in a row. Surely if BBB is in our best 22, he gets selected?

Low Attendance
Dons got 23K to their Marvel game which is way below what they historically get at Marvel.

Low Attendance
Let’s call a spade a spade. The crowd of 20,000 was quite frankly pathetic from our supporter base. We can’t blame GWS because they don’t have any supporters. 1) It was on one of the best April Melbourne nights you will ever get from a weather perspective - 24 degrees at 7:25pm. 2) We’ve started the season magnificently to the extent that the media have us so far ahead of the second seed. 3) We’ve finally won a flag so I would’ve thought Melbourne people would be desperate to attend every single game imaginable after being denied a once in a life time opportunity to see a flag live, as well as two other finals. 4) I can’t accept or believe that 35,000 odd Melbourne members were out of town. So I’m not using the Easter holidays as an alibi for our supporter base. Pert and Co would be disappointed by such a small crowd on a marquee time slot that is Saturday night. Still a long way to go if we want to be consider a Melbourne based power house club.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
I went a bit early with Carlton in saying they’re a flag chance. I don’t think it’s a sustainable model to require 7-8 goal leads at half time against poor-average sides only to fall over the line because a McKay or a Weitering took a match saving mark. St Kilda and Freo look like they have more substance to them and we may have to face of these two sides to get into a GF.

Low Attendance
Absolutely no doubt they will be bigger. My predictions: 30K to Carlton v Port 25K to Essendon V Freo.

Low Attendance
For perspective, Hawks got 17K to one of their games against GWS at the MCG right in the middle of their dynasty. I would’ve thought Dees fans would be treating every game like it’s their last given what most of us missed out on last year, but not to be. We’ve had 27,000 (2016) and 37,000 (2018) to previous GWS games so last nights crowd was disappointing. So to was the Essendon game in round 3 Suspect we’re under the budgeted home attendance thus far.

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
I reckon the Saints are a genuine chance of making a prelim this year.

CASEY: Rd 04 vs Coburg
Should be a percentage booster. Coburg strike me as a side that isn’t much chop.

TEAMS: Rd 05 vs GWS
- NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
In the opening 33 games of the season, just 6 losing sides have scored 90 points, including tonight. Conceding 90 points in a win is too many for mine. No way would Brisbane win a final conceding 90 points.- NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Pretty poor win by Brisbane if we’re being honest. Their Coaching staff would be disappointed in giving up 90 points in modern day AFL footy.- NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Leigh Matthews is definitely on his last legs as a commentator. Had to be told Mason Cox now wears glasses to protect his eyes, as if it was late breaking news to him.- NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Why? They’re our direct competition for a top 2 spot.- Farewell Luke Jackson
Happily take that at this stage. Would be shattered to see him go after just 3 seasons, particularly if we don't win the flag with him this year.- FIXTURE: Rd 10 & 11
Looks like we're the Saturday 4:35pm kings. 3 of them in a 5 week period.- What They Are Saying at Orange Land
They played a near perfect game against us last year at the G and I recall their highly skilled guns in Whitfield, Ward and Kelly kicking clutch goals against us. Meanwhile we weren't ourselves that day and were in the middle of a pretty ordinary 6 week period.- FIXTURE: Rd 10 & 11
Agree. While it's great to have heaps of prime time games for the coffers, it would also be nice to get a few traditional Saturday afternoon games during the year. The Saints round 8 game is our only genuine day game in Melbourne for the foreseeable future, and that's on Mother's day.- FIXTURE: Rd 10 & 11
If Carlton play Sydney on the Friday night at Marvel as expected, then we could actually play North on the Saturday given there's only two games at Marvel that weekend. But yeah - North v Melbourne are mostly Sunday games.- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
And who’s to say they won’t go 4-2 against Brisbane, Geelong and Sydney? And who’s to say they won’t beat us at the G, a venue where we’ve been quite frankly pathetic against St Kilda in recent years? IMO they’re a team on the rise and they’ve got a terrific percentage as a launching pad.- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Agree it’s far too early to make big calls about St Kilda but there’s a bit of evidence starting to mount up. A Win over a 3-1 Fremantle in hostile territory. A win over highly likely finalist in Richmond. A dominant first half today over a side that probably won’t play finals but a team that has stated the season well nonetheless. They’ve started the season in great fashion and I’m sure our club will be taking a bit of notice of them.- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Starting to think St Kilda are a chance to feature in prelim final week. Both clubs had a brief taste in 2018 and 2020 and then had down years. Why not them?- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Excellent result. Brisbane are probably the second best side in the league so any loss by them is a bonus.- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Any chance Taylor can shut up about intercept marking? Pathetic succession planning by channel 7 that BT is their premier caller post the retirements of McAvaney and Commetti. What’s their next move? Hamish and Basil calling the 2024 GF?- NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Why is everyone going for Brisbane? Surely we take any loss we can get from Brisbane and keep them away from top 2. I have no interest in facing Brisbane at the GABBA in a qualifying or prelim final in the event we don’t finish top 2 or stuff up a home qualifying final. - NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
