  1. Yeah GC’s pink clash jumper isn’t effective in this matchup. I’m a proponent of white clash jumpers for most clubs including ours. That’s when they’re at their most effective.
  2. Flanders 2 elite uses of the ball, including an effective inside 50 in the opening minutes. That’s why he’s in demand.
  3. First time in about 28 years I’ll be barracking for Geelong in a game of Australia Rules Football (v Hawks next week)
  4. Makes our 2023 finals series a work of art compared to what Adelaide dished up this finals campaign.
  5. Game over at the 4 minute mark of the first quarter.
  6. Haven’t even started the game yet and the locals have already booed the Welcome to Country guy and the lady who’s signing the anthem.
  7. Had a 2-5 record at the Suns as caretaker. Gerard Healy has been raving about his credentials for a good 2 years now (and I always tuned out as to the reason why). Not critical of the decision, but I find it a bit odd that he'll still be coaching Geelong, but good luck to him in his flag endeavours with the Cats. Don't we need a coach hands on deck to sort out list management?
  8. Had a 2-5 record at the Suns and Gerard Healy hasn't stopped raving about him since.
  9. If at the start of 2025 you were told that Trac would finish second in the B&F and Oliver would have his most stable year since 2022, you would have had high hopes of a return to the top 8, or at least a winning record of 12 to 13 wins.
  10. Can Bucks get us an extra 5 or 6 wins next year to be in wild card contention?
  11. Freo are dangling pick 11 out there. https://www.afl.com.au/news/1416630/fremantle-dockers-dangle-early-draft-pick-in-bid-to-secure-mature-talent I wonder if we could get pick 11 for McVee and obviously we give them a material draft pick their way (say in the 20's) Disappointing if he leaves. I just took for granted that he'd be a 200 gamer for us.
  12. North supporters are livid with the selection if Bigfooty is an indication. If he has a decent run at it health wise, then he might be good pick up for the Roos.
  13. Watch St Kilda jump up the ladder next year with their aggressive recruitment.
  14. Potentially but it sounds like St Kilda are campaigning hard to have the annual "Spuds game" in round 0 Sunday night at the G as a permanent fixture. Happy to play Collingwood just once each year. Cannot beat that mob and we can't afford to be throwing away 4 points to the usual oppo suspects.
  15. I wonder if he'll get a 3, 4 or 5 year contract? You'd suspect 4 or 5 given his experience and we'd probably need to pay another year to get him over the line.
  16. We'll likely have the lowest VIC membership of all clubs when North overtake us next year (if you look at how they've narrowed the gap over the last couple of years) St Kilda, who have won 1 final in 16 years, have left us for dead. Amazing how far you can fall in the space of 4 years. Players, coaches, high performance and admin should all be ashamed of themselves at these figures.
  17. One scalp closer to Bucks I guess.
  18. I've probably seen about 16-17 Adelaide games in full this year (on tv) and the eyes tell me ANB is having his best season, but his disposal is still a little iffy.
  19. The club must have been blown away by his performance on Kozzie in the Alice. In the 3 games before and 3 games after Kozzie played his best patch of footy with 18 goals, including that insane 5.4 performance against Sydney the week before the Saints game. However he kept Kozzie goaless with 12 touches and won 28 of his own. He stopped the oppo's match winner and had over double the disposals. Needs to get the 3 votes that day. In the disastrous Marvel return game, Kozzie was better with 19 and a goal while Windhager got 22.
  20. Fair call. Maybe I'm overrating Windhager and in reality he's a dog ordinary player. I always read the oppo's supporters reaction when a player might be heading out the door in order to get a guide on how they rate a player. They seem to really rate Windhager, and I too reckon he's a player on the rise. A high possession player that is accountable going the other way.
  21. Trac might be involved in a multi club trade to get this done. Or maybe our future first rounder for Windhager and Heath?
  22. A good player that’s getting better by the game. Comprehensively beat Kozze in the Alice game that sunk our season. We need a player to quell the opposition’s midfield star such as Ed Richards who willed the Dogs over the line against us.
  23. They play Russian Roulette too much and rely on the 6 goal come back. Kingsley needs to make some major adjustments over summer as they strike me as a nice home and away team, but not much more.
  24. Cadman’s been a disaster today and is Toby even playing? Hawthorn’s recruitment of Battle and Barrass is the equivalent of us getting Lever and May. They have the defence to contend this year.
  25. Darcy Jones doing his ACL might work in GWS’s favour for this game. They came home from nowhere when Ward did his ACL earlier in the year.
