POSTGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
I loved that effort and it could have easily have been a triple - he was on the outside free but Gawn went Petracca inside. Awesome

Petracca & Oliver at the Dees in 2026?
Question back on to you here

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
If Iâm not mistaken, wasnât he a forward when we drafted him? I thought that was what made his defensive work so good.

Time to go Goody?
I remember a few years ago we were playing Freo at the G. A friend is close to Petracca and she said he wouldnât be playing as he had some gastro like symptoms. We were shocked to see him out there and I think he only managed a couple of touches. Looked very off. Heard after the game apparently Goodwin said something along the lines of âwould you still play if it was the grand final?â. This bloke has zero flexibility.

GAMEDAY: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Freo are a great team. Solid midfield, defence and ruck. 2 McDonalds and 2 Sharps. Dees by 6

NON-MFC: Round 06
Loved Huntâs pressure in the last couple of minutes.

Time to go Goody?
Iâm a bit over the âwe had a good quarterâ and âlook at our inside 50sâ rhetoric. Itâs Round 5 and weâve only kicked 3 or more goals in 5 quarters. Thatâs the worst in the league. We should be talking about having one quiet quarter a game, not one good quarter!! Looking at total points scored so far weâve kicked 305 points. Second worse. Just two goals ahead of West Coastâs 293. Theyâve had 3 years to fix the forward line and instead invested in a midfield and defensive game plan - which the rest of the league hasnât and itâs passed us. Goody deserves the respect of ending our premiership drought and for one of the most exciting years of footy. But four years later and weâre now 2nd bottom of the ladder and haemorrhaging. Pride comes before the fall. The game plan hasnât worked out. Letâs move on and rebuild.

If we lose this week I will?
Iâve made a rod for my own back. My wifeâs Essendon membership was about to lapse. Would have been 25 years, but I renewed it without telling her as a surprise. It arrived today and she has already got the stickers out threatening that theyâre going on the car and our son will change to them if we donât win. Iâm not saying Iâm an [censored], but Iâve done smarter things.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
In the last quarter Geelong were kicking the ball out of their defensive 50 and it was going to Gawn 1 on 1. JVR sprinted across and chopped Gawnâs arms in what would have been a mark. Went to ground, and his opponent went off with it - goal. Max stood there looking [censored] off (not aggressive) and waited for JVR to walk up to him to share some water. Gave him a pat on the head but it showed me: 1) theyâre playing a very low confidence and selfish type of footy, 2) we donât know the basic skills of blocking players, 3) good leadership from Gawn to not lose it but once in a while they need a spray.

Time to go Goody?
I didnât see Petracca laughing but he was very filthy in the 4th quarter. Lots of yelling at players for not running, pointing at opposition getting loose and at the final siren threw his mouthguard into the ground and walked away.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Iâm driving down to Kitty-litter Park tomorrow with a couple of Geelong supporting mates. Banking on a win so I donât have to hear their dribble on the way back.

Getting rid of Viney is like getting rid of Junior all over again. Plenty left and heart and soul.

impressive footy by West Coast. Brisbane feel a bit off, but theyâre playing with serious speed!

Demon supporters are patheticâŠ
Due to a declining birth rate, Gen Z will likely be the largest demographic in our history. Have to focus on youth⊠will pay dividends in the future.

NON-MFC: Round 02
In their last 2 final halves of footy, Carlton have averaged 2 goals and their opponents 8. Much to be said about their fitness and game.
