What a year. Will leave a massive hole in players that bust a gut in our team.

I feel more uneasy that another big name player will be moved on, the club can not afford to have Tracc leave.

I might be on my own here but I would be very nervous about giving up a future first. The way we are tracking it could be a better pick than this year.

He’s a very good player and should command a good deal for Port. I think he will clearly make us better but won’t help us win a premiership. Personally I think and hope we try and get an extra pick in the top 25 rather than giving these picks away.

Why would Fremantle bring this hideous jumper out of retirement.

I would say that JV is currently in his twilight years and I will be surprised if he’s still physically able to play at 34/35.

He’s lucky to still have his job. But by the sounds of it he’s trying hard to get sacked.

I am happy Ed has signed on. But I question the length of the contract, surely he wouldn’t have left if it was only a three year deal.

Yep that’s about what I think too and I would be open to it although I don’t think there would be many takers. I think as you mentioned the Roos and Tigers maybe the only chances.

One thing that really irked me last night was at one point JVR was on the ground looking for assistance to get up for a ruck contest two Melbourne players near him and both didn’t help him. Just a little thing but it’s a basic and easy team thing to do but we didn’t. We have lots to work on to turn this team around.

What would you expect to get for him? I think we would struggle to get a late second rounder.

Agree we really need to strengthen the midfield, disagree about Rivers in the midfield. I would definitely be playing him there.
